Apparently Blizz is trying to prove the infinite monkey theorem.
This happened to me around 7 times in a row. I think it's either a glitch, or blizzard really doesn't like my hp standard issue IT laptop
I had that happen before where it wouldn't accept any names. Relogging fixed it.

I had this happen too. I discovered a while back character names can't start with "SE" (I guess it's reserved?) so no Serena, Selina, etc... I'm wondering if the random generator doesn't exclude that so it trying to name games that start with it. Assuming its reserved in game names like in characters, of course.
