another uber tristram newbie here...

Hey,

I've seen a couple of threads like this the past few days, and I'm in the same boat.

Planning to do Uber Tristram for the first time, hope i'll be succesful but I guess there's a good chance I will die.
If so, it would be awesome if someone could come and help out so I won't have wasted my keys.
I'll gladly compensate you for your time

Yeah if I had made a smiter instead of a Frenzy barb it certainly would've been easier :p

How did it go?

I managed to kill Lilith - with the help of my merc i had just enough damage to take her down.

However, once i got to Tristram, keeping my merc alive wasn't really an option and without him I just didn't have the damage to counteract Mephisto and baals life regen.
Thankfully mockingbird came in to help, big thanks to him! Still got a decent ama torch out of it.

At least I didn't die, so my survivability is sufficient. I guess for next time I'll try to get some gore riders and a Life Tap Wand (was using Marrowwalk for the Life Tap),
don't have any crushing blow atm so that might just be enough to tip the scales.

OOF Ubers without crushing blow is rough. What is your build?

Pretty standard Frenzy build as far as skills go.

Main hand Grief, off hand either Lawbringer ( Decrepify proc for when i don't need Life Tap), Oath or lightsaber (lightning absorb for meph).
Arreat, Treachery (switched out for Smoke after Fade proc for meph to overstack my resistances), LOH, String of Ears, Raven Frost, angelic ring+amu.
Charms mainly to boost life, damage and AR + torch/anni.

Interesting, perhaps instead of Lawbringer you could use Death and deal 50% crushing blow. You also need a ton of attack rating, so perhaps Demon Limb is very preferred, as it is a free ar boost, on top of your angelic combo. You are right, lifetap is a must.

ok. makes sense you could survive. Damage-wise you are a bit lacking for sure. important to note, prevent monster heal does not work on Ubers, you want open wounds for that. and CB is real nice if you can get it on anything.

Never try Uber with FrenzyBarb. But my setup will be:

Death for the 50% crushing blow.
Azurewrath for Sanctuary Aura. Not Lawbringer because Decrepify will cancel Life Tap.

Grief on swap to finish the last 10% life.
I need CB for the first 90%.

Dracul's Grasp for Life Tap and Open Wounds.
Goblin Toe for more crushing blow. Frenzy increase Walk/Run Speed by +150% so I don't need the FRW from Gore Rider.

You can also add Duress for CB and OW, some resistances and its a cheap one
