Phoenix Strike

Assassin Skill

Requires level: 30
Skill tree: Martial Arts

Charge-up Skill.
Adds elemental novas to finishing moves.
Must use a Dragon finishing move or normal attack to release charges.

Synergies:

Fists of Fire +10% Fire Damage per Level
Fists of Fire +6% Average Fire Damage per Second per Level
Claws of Thunder +13% Lightning Damage per Level
Blades of Ice +10% Cold Damage per Level

Description

This mighty skill allows the Assassin trained in its arts to prepare an attack that gives off powerful elemental energies.

Phoenix Strike launches the active charge, not all three charges at once. So if you have it built up to charge 2, Chain Lightning will be released.

The 2- and 3- Charge effects of Phoenix Strike (i.e. the Chain Lightning and Chaos Ice Bolt modes) are subject to a 4 frame Next Hit Delay.

Phoenix Strike is a handy skill if you're fighting around monsters with different Resistances because you don't need to change between skills.

While Mosaic completely revolutionized Phoenix Strike's optimization, the general Patch 2.4 Martial Arts rework also significantly improved the skill's functionality. Following the change, Dragon Claw or a sufficiently high slvl Dragon Talon can trigger multiple stages of Phoenix Strike with a single finishing move, allowing for a rapid combination of Fire/Lightning or Lightning/Cold damage (or, with slvl 12 or greater in Dragon Talon, all three).
