The Spirit invoked by this skill bestows upon the Druid and his company the mystical ability to reflect damage back at any opponents who injure them.

This Spirit bestows

Thorns on the Druid and all in his party. This skill is largely ignored since the damage reflected is woefully inadequate to make it viable past normal difficulty. Level 20 of this skill reflects 430% damage.

In comparison, the Paladin's

Thorns reflects 450% at level 6 and 1010% at level 20, and the Necromancer's

Iron Maiden reflects 450% at level 11, and 675% at level 20.

If you have Call To Arms, in order to maximize the spirit's efficiency, cast

Battle Command before summoning the spirit, then cast it again after, so the spirit itself (its aura) also benefits from skill bonus.

As of 2.4, this skill deals flat damage (expressed in the tooltip as "Attacker Takes Damage of X") rather than returning a percentage of physical damage received.

The damage returned can be calculated as follows:

slvl 1-8: (9 * slvl) + 23
slvl 9-16: (18 * slvl) - 31
slvl 17-22: (27 * slvl) - 193
slvl 23-28: (36 * slvl) - 391
slvl >28: (45 * slvl) - 643
