Description

The Griswold's set in general is rarely used and isn't particularly valuable, but Griswold's Heart has a niche use to get your Act II mercenary enough strength to equip elite polearms before obtaining Andariel's Visage. Simply pop a few Perfect Amethyst in its 3 sockets to solve any strength requirement woes.

A mercenary from Act 2 does not benefit from the +2 bonus to defensive aura skills.

For you gambling rascals, hear this:

If you upgrade an exceptional Griswold's Heart ( Ornate Plate) to its elite version ( Sacred Armor) and manage to hit a perfect 1100 defense roll, it becomes a very valuable item for wealthy collectors.

When upgrading an item, the base defense of the new item is completely rerolled. Since a Sacred Armor has a base defense range from 487 to 600 (114 possible rolls) and has no % ED, hitting the perfect 600 defense (+500 flat defense stat = 1100) is a 1 in 114 chance (0,88%)

The cost? 1 Ko, 1 Lem, 1 Perfect Diamond
The catch? The strength requirement jumps from 170 to 232, so this is not meant for everyone to wear.

Griswold's Heart has Requirements -40%, so if you upgrade it from an Ornate Plate to a Sacred Armor, the Strength requirement is only 140 instead of 232. Not too bad for a 1000+ defense armor!
