The Hellforge

Act 4 Quest • Optional

20 Search the River of Flame for the Hell Forge.

Description

You must destroy the Mephisto's Soulstone you got from Mephisto on The Hellforge, a blacksmith's forge in Hell.

This is the forge Izual was attacking to prevent the completion of Shadowfang when he was captured, in the Diablo mythology.

At The Hellforge you'll find Hephasto the Armorer. You must kill him to make him drop the Hellforge Hammer, which you should then equip.

With Mephisto's Soulstone in your inventory, and the Hellforge Hammer equipped, click on the anvil until the soulstone is destroyed.

The time has come for you to destroy Mephisto's Soulstone!

Take the Stone to the Hellforge.

Place it upon the forge and strike it soundly with the Hammer.

Only by doing this can you prevent Mephisto from manifesting in this world ever again.

If you ever forget to pick up the Mephisto's Soulstone for The Hellforge quest in act 4 you don't need to go back nor kill Mephisto again. Instead you can just talk to cain in act 4 and he will give you the soulstone.

The quest completes only for the person who destroys Mephisto's Soulstone. All other players just get "You cannot complete this quest in this game..." and can do the quest in a new game.

The Warlock can use the forge without making his hands dirty.
