Trading stuff for in-game gold

There's tons of information here, so sorry if I missed it.

The question in the title - is it legal here? Or legal but meaningless for some reason? (I don't remember if I saw a one such trade here.)

- In game Gold, yes, no issue.

- but Gold only serves for gambling, and is a matter of pure luck with low chance to get something good, so most people prefer playing and gambling just their extra Gold.

- So Gold has... little use. I traded a bit of it back in the times to a crafter that needed that to buy his crafting material amulets, but for values like 1 million Gold worth about a Lem, 10 million an Ist. Not sure if that still happens, but anyway, to sum up, Gold has little value so no one bothers.

- Gold find barbs do exist and earn I think more than 1M Gold in only one Travincal run - but their goal is to gamble it after.

Well, for me at my stage, gambling is still of interest, so I don't see anything wrong with asking for it if it's less valuable to someone than gems.
