Thanks to any and all input. I have heard that jeweler's prefix and plus-to-life are desirable but I don't know why and I don't know what they're valued at.

Sadly I don't think that there is much value to this item. People usually want these modifiers to be on a

Circlet type helmet because the life modifier can be much higher.

The maximum life that a non-class specific

Circlet can get is 40 life with the mammoth affix.

Helm can get up to 100 life with the Whale affix. a Artisan's

Diadem of the Whale would almost certainly be worth dozens of

The reason why people like the Jeweler/Artisan's XX of the YY is because of the customization. They typically want to put expensive jewels in the sockets, while the YY affix is basically a freebie mod. If you compare a plain 3 open socket

Diadem to a Artisan's

Diadem of the Whale, the only difference is the plus health. If they plan on putting expensive jewels into an item, they want it to be the very best.

This is why Jeweller's

Monarch of Deflecting is worth so much. Its extremely rare on its own, and it has a distinct advantage over a regular 4 open socket

Monarch because of its increased block chance. That increased block chance means that players will be able to put less stat points into dexterity to reach maximum block chance, which means more points can go into vitality.

Everything is about life. The only people who are really wanting these items are PVP players and trophy collectors. The difference between 35 and 100 life might not seem like much to us, but that is one extra hit in a duel. If they have Jeweler's

Monarch of Deflecting, Artisan's

Diadem of the Whale, Jeweler's

Archon Plate of the Whale: That is all additional hits they can take in a duel while still having free open sockets.


Anyways, my point is. I don't think your item is a GG item. It isn't bad, and I don't think its worthless. Its just that the people willing to spend crazy amounts of runes of high end PVP gear would rather want the best items available. Risking putting their jewels into a subpar helmet wouldn't be worth the cost I don't think.
