Description

Hi.
I recently decided to finaly make a zealot, but I realize that I might have a very wrong idea about how many points should go into dexterity.
I think I've overdid vitality on every character I've ever made in d2.

My damage was very low, so I managed to get a lightsaber, but the dex req is quite high.
I'm lvl 85 and my dex is 65. Should i respec?

I remember running a Frost Zealot for a while and the dexterity was something I'd keep just high enough to maintain maximum block with
Holy Shield
active.

Yeah, the max block part is something I see written everywhere, but I always thought it must be the gear that took care of most of the block%.
Is going over 120 dex very normal?

Edit: Just respecced. Max block and new weapon. I'm finally viable :D

You can use this calculator to determine how much dex is needed for max block at your character level. Fill out the upper fields, and the rest will automatically populate.

@rogfish Going over 120 Dexterity is definitely normal if you are aiming for Max Block. You are doing just fine :)

Thanks for the link to the tool, will be something I'll use in the future!

"Seven Evils spawned of seven heads. Seven realms birthed from Death."

But the Calculator does not take
Holy Shield
into account?
Even a Zealot needs a
Holy Shield
, it's just to good to not use it.

And with HS, it's even impossible to not get maxblock with low dex values ...

Dont forget to use
Holy Shield
before putting in your dex. I didnt keep track for how many times I forgot and ended up with too much dex.

Like others said earlier. Going over 120 dex is normal.

It factors in any bonus to blocking so long as you input the values.

"Includes magic bonuses and
Holy Shield
".
