If you find multiple Exploding Potion on the Ground, you can open your inventory before picking them up to prevent them from combining into one stack. Then, each individual potion can be vendored and rebought, giving you several full stacks.
Throwing potions ignore Attack Rating calculations, meaning they always hit their target. This can be useful if you encounter a monster you are struggling to land attacks on.
