As a Wind druid main, I am confused by the wording of the rumors regarding element druid. For me personally it would be nice if Tornado would be reliable from distance... that's all I want. Now, I'll have to telestomp everything with Enigma because it's the most effective (and dangerous) way to use the skill since you hit better if you're in front of a monster. Lightning damage? Why? Doesn't make sense, make Hurricane AoE radius a little bigger - with hard points... Don't need a third damage type

These rumors are just made-up wishes & wants by some Chinese content creator, which was misinterpreted as a "leak" and reposted by someone named "xiaohei" on BNet forums, then somehow everyone and their mother thinks it's a leak and/or "unconfirmed changes", and Coooley is making clickbait videos about it (big surprise). It's not. It's just some random Chinese dude's hopium, whose intent was misinterpreted and twisted.

these leaks are formed upon someone else's thoughts and suggestions. Someone watched these video, misunderstood them or it was lost in translation and though these are supposed leaks

Might we actually be getting any of these changes? Maybe, who knows? But it'd just be coincidence if there's any overlap between actual new features/changes and the stuff mentioned in the post.

Hopefully, it's like you wrote. First smaller changes to early game items and then all of a sudden such changes? This would not go well, I assume.

And it's not only Cooley, but also Sweet Phil reacted to this forum post and in his latest video Llama behaved as if he knew what was coming up, but who knows? Maybe just a good actor...

Though going by that forum change list post, random and non-credible as it may be, most of them sound like a pretty bad idea that doesn't understand the actual issues (e.g. drood summoners getting even more single-target while still failing @ crowds) so...that does sound like something blizzard would do. ^^

I'm not sure why the hammer change would be considered a nerf. The hammers would still spiral... the center of the spiral would be a short distance away, but you'd still be standing in a storm of hammers. Seems like making them usable in tight quarters would be worth the change.

In any case: I think some big changes for RoTW are reasonable. First off, as an "expansion," RoTW has FAR less content than LoD did, so they honestly need to add a significant amount from a value standpoint.

Second, as long as base (non-RoTW) D2R remains unchanged, that gives everyone 3 options to play how they want: you can play the original release, or play D2R for modern resolutions and some QoL stuff, or play RoTW for a new vision of Diablo 2.

Give me all of that and more (without the Enigma nerf).

I guess they could change Hammerdin, cause its the other main Build for all the new -magicres stuff, but playstyle is too weird for many/new players.

A Vengeance remake would be awesome. Added cold, fire and lighting aoe damage via procs or something that scales up with skilllevel would be so nice.

Blizzard never actually called it an expansion. The BNet app calls it a DLC. Calling it an "expansion" is entirely community-invented. Not every DLC is an expansion, but some people (a lot of people) seem to default to calling it an expansion even though it was never marketed as such.

Llama was talking yesterday about how this is obviously not real just based on how the coding would have to work. The deep changes that some of these would require to game and spell mechanics make it clear that it's not real. There is no chance of changing hammers to be straight, that's the opposite of what they want. They wanted miasma chains to be clunky like hammers on purpose. They liked the hammers being arcs.

The devs have been really clear about wanting to keep D2 consistent at its core. I think right now they're looking at slightly buffing unused uniques. Maybe we'll see a Tyrael's buff or something.

Generally, though, I thought the consensus was that no TP while shapeshifting was a bad deal.

Have to agree... one of my favorite builds is a Werewolf Fury. Granted the faster walk you can get takes the sting away a bit, but being able to use Teleport while shifted would go a long way in the play of this build.

Again - I agree this is all rumors and clickbait, but Teleport would be great

What? The source was a set of videos by a Chinese content creator on a Chinese site (战斗蜗牛 is Chinese, not Korean) that someone misinterpreted as being a leak and posted on Blizzard's forums. The original "source" is just that dude's personal wish list. Everything that was re-posted or turned into other videos by other content creators can be sourced back to the same Chinese person's wish list videos.

I know it sounds crazy. But if you think about, the existence of the Warlock is already crazy.... Rotw is not anywhere near what Diablo 2: LOD is. So changes like these? Not at all out of the realm of possibilities. And given how positive the reception for the Warlock has been, it would seem they would proceed with further content plans and changes. But yeah... This could just be a nothing burger.
