Warlock 2 Echoing strike build

Hi guys!

So I've been playing Mr Llama build with Echoing Strike and I though to myself, this build forces me just push one button all the time, basically. I like more piano player builds generally, so....

I thought, what if I make a hybrid build which will 100% suck at higher levels but I ll enjoy it more? Like add Flame Wave and Apocalypse and 2nd and 3rd usable skill in certain situations...

Any pros here that can say if this going to suck a lot or I will it enjoy it nonetheless

Just switch to fire lock to use more skills.

Its maybe fun on playthroughs, cause WL is op anyway. But as an ES Lock i maybe would choose a magic skill for hybrid instead. Didnt play Abyss till now, but i think it fits better in a pre ES Rotation. Instead of casting lethargy, you throw some voids here and there. With better +/-magic damage gear, you can also improve the hybridbuild easier, as when you choose a fire skill.

While running an ES warlock myself now, i have to use plenty.
CTAprebuff, then 3 Summon Defiler, Consume one, then Hex Purge, Eldritch Blast on lmb, cause have to renew it every 40 sec or so, Sigil Lethargy and Hex Bane on bosses\harolds\etc, Psychic Ward after i got hit (quite often, only blocks ~200 dmg). And lots of Teleport ofc.
Might be not the most piano build, but lots of buttons for sure if optimised, esp after a year of dual Dream sorc, where i only Teleport on rmb, Static Field on bosses, and Telekinesis on stash after a cta-ench-es-etc prebuff

Not a warlock build, but if you are a masochist you are in for a treat. I present you the incovenient furydruid!

Here are the timings for everything

Warlock build that uses more than one or two skills excludes pretty much all of them.
Abyss warlock with left click Miasma Chain and right click Abyss + teleporting around.
Fire warlock kinda the same with Flame Wave + Apocalypse with an extra click for Ring of Fire, if you feel like it adds anything on top of the knockback.
Blood Boil warlock is just Teleport + Blood Boil + Death Mark, and every now and then an Engorge.
Hex Purge with Echoing Strike or Hex Bane/ Hex Purge ranged weapon honestly kills so fast that the Eldritch Blast never really does anything.

Honestly only the Psychic Ward makes for an extra action on any eldritch build because you are unlikely to have high synergies for it.

Stone of jordan + Sling rings
Arachnid Mesh Belt
Enigma Mage Plate chest
Chance Guards gloves
War Traveler Boots
Obsession Eth Archon Staff wep1
Ars Dul'Mephistos with Um rune shield1
CTA Flail wep2
Spirit Monarch shield2
Gheed+ Renewed Black Cleft+Torch+ Annihilus
2 skillers + Eldritch skills

Chaos tree 1 point in Sigil Lethargy (1 point total)
Eldritch tree max Hex Bane, Hex Purge, Eldritch Blast and Mirrored Blades, single point in everything else, no any points in Hex Siphon (85 points total)
Demon tree 1 point in Summon Goatman, Summon Tainted, Summon Defiler, Blood Oath and Consume, 10 points in Demonic Mastery (15 points total)
Build is done at lvl 90, extra points u can put where u like. Max Mirrored first, then Hex Purge, Then Eldritch Blast, Then 10 in demonic and after Hex Bane.
Main spam skill is Echoing Strike.
FCR max Cap reached (125), all res around 190 (15 overcap~~ depends on rolls on gear), fhr is decent too.
Just dont use Mirrored Blades ever, cause its use ur Eth weapon durability (unless u got indestructible Obsession) and more important scales off ias instead of fcr.

I dont have Obsession yet, but in some ways i dont like the "lower damage" staffs as Echoing Strike Weapons. But + to Skills are important for the build, therefore i dont like Insight or Fortitude either.

I ve tested pure Hex Purge 125 fcr with Heart of the Oak in a imperfect staff base i used for firelock and switched back to an 75 FCR +3 Eth Arioc's Needle, cause it was much better. Not sure if its worth to make another Hoto in an Eth staff.

Am i wrong or is Echoing Strike missing a perfect Endgame Weapon, cause the skill combines Attributes that are quite unique and not represented in the current endgame weapon arsenal? Like some Ed+fcr+skills+deadly strike or something.

Not that Echoing Strike needs a buff, but even on a pure Hex Purge build, more ditect damage is just super nice. Therefore im a bit underwhelmed with my options here, compared to a Cleave Warlock for example, who has dozens of endgame weapons to choose from.

I think it is a strength of this class/skill.
Would it not be boring to just have another "Grief-Class" where one option is BIS for every skill- and gearvariant of that class?

You can play ethereal or non-ethereal Obsession, or Fortitude Thunder Maul, Dagger with good automods + Runeword Void, Insight, Obedience, Doom, Arioc's Needle, Mang Song's Lesson and maybe even more.
Which is GREAT in my book, because that way you have room to choose exactly that weapon that suits best your own playstyle or current gear status (for FCR/All Res/ Stats, etc).

I guess i' m not that happy with the shift to the pure Hex Purge style of Echoing Strike or maybe with the gear limitations of the physical or combo variations, where you end up with Bis Gear fast and dont know how to improve without switching to pure Hex Purge.
