Description

First of all, great job as usual! ;)

That said, noticed a couple bits that I feel might be worth improving/adding:

(1) Time stamps for chat would be great to have so you know how long a message has been sitting there since it was sent.

(2) The notification ("chat message from...") when clicked currently does two things:
- It opens up the chat window
- It navigates to the diablo2.io landing page
The first part is obviously great as you get to the chat message that you're being notified about.
The second part however I would argue shouldn't happen. I.e. if you're say in a trade topic, get a chat, hit the notification, you'd want it to open up the chat window but not do anything else. You wouldn't want to also automatically be navigating out of that trade you're looking at, only to end up at the landing page.

(3) After undocking and moving a chat window, the new position is being remembered for the future. And that's great. Sadly though, it is only remember for that specific chat. Starting a new chat with someone else creates a new window not in the remembered chat location but in the default bottom left location. Would be great to be able to change the default/"global" chat window location for all of them.

Yep can add those - big miss!

Yep I'll get it to open chat window in the same page the person is viewing currently.

Yes it's per specific chat window ID. I don't think I can really find a solution to this - if I made all the chat windows respect the same custom window position, then they would stack on top of each other. If I made all the chat windows follow the 'stacking' approach from default positions, using the most recent chat window as the anchor, then in which direction would they stack? They'd end up wrapping if on the right side for example. Not sure this can be resolved without removing the ability to have multiple chat windows open at the same time altogether (like it is on mobile).

Yeah, I added that suggestion before having multiple open at the same time. Though personally I'd prefer a single window for all of them, be it tabbed or with name selection/nav. Otherwise you end up with a fair bit of site overlap with multiple ones open. But that may well just be a very subjective preference.

I suppose multi-window vs single-window-with-tabs could be a user preference?

My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.

Yeah could be.
Single-window approach wouldn't use tabs though, there isn't enough horizontal space for tabs. It would probably have to work like it does on mobile, with a single chat window displayed at any time, with new chat message windows overwriting the one user is looking at, and the Recent Chats window to select a different window to be the one displayed. Then the user could simply set a custom position for where the singular chat window should appear.
