Conviction is always nice to have. Just means you have to gear for Maek in other slots / jewels or use Phoenix as your shield.
Or if you don't mind chugging mana pots you can go that route as well. I personally hate chugging / managing pots and would rather just run Insight merc for mana.

yes that + Phoenix and you win the game.
Yes, it's actually the recommended Merc weapon in all guides.
If properly geared, you usually deal enough physical damage that mana leech on one ring is sufficient. You'll still have to drink a potion now and again, especially in areas with lots of physical immunes/resistants.

Playing HC SSF right now.

Just in case a Phoenix shield is too costly:
You can also solve your Mana problem by taking Silkweave for the "+5 Mana after each kill", 1 rare ring besides Ravenfrost with +1 Mana after each kill and I also put 1 rare jewel with +3 Mana after each kill (and other nice stats) into my Griffon's Eye for a total of 9 Mana after each kill.
(That was before the new Colossal Ancients Jewels existed, nowadays you probably would prefer to put one of those into your Griffon's.)
At least that way I never have Mana problems.

2/20 Caster Gloves is BIS for javazon but may be expensive.
With ethereal Titan's Revenge, mana leech ring and good positioning, you're done with mana issues.

2/20 Caster Gloves + FCR ring/amulet with leech/MaeK and Spirit Monarch suddenly becomes BiS.
Phoenix is a makeshift and an expensive noob trap: No +skills, no resists, no FCR, no mana, no FHR. All of these stats are highly important to a Java, she who is restricted in most of her item slots (head: Griffons, body: Enigma, belt: Razor, weapon: Titans, one ring: Ravenfrost).
In fact, it is one of the worst options for a Javazon!

Javazon is alread super strong. With Infinity the stong will be beyond you can imagine. Besides, most of lightning immunity level 12 Conviction aura can break
I have it for merc in Mancatcher base and they can Jab the boss for you with the 40% CB as well besides the powerful Conviction
Only JMoD is better than Spirit (for Java) and you have to trade in a lot for this additional damage.DasNarf wrote: 2 days ago2/20 Caster Gloves + FCR ring/amulet with leech/MaeK and Spirit Monarch suddenly becomes BiS.

OP
Everybody needs (or at least, does profit from) CTA. Sadly.
Phoenix can be put into weapons or shields, but usually the latter is preferred.

You don't care much about CTA as javazon because, like any other zon build, you have to stay away from the ennemies.
Don't be afraid to make an Harmony switch so you're Flash.
Javazon is so strong, you clear anything in game in a snap.

Some Trade is available for both rotw and LoD, Most rune , Perfect Gems is only in LoD side.

You don't really believe that, do you?
I love Phoenix shield for my javazon. The Redemption aura solved all my mana issues. This allows Emilio to use an Inifinty instead of Insight.
Chugging mana pots is probably the most efficient way to play Javazon, but if you don't want to worry about mana, Infinity+Phoenix will clear faster than Insight+Spirit.DasNarf wrote: 2 days agoPhoenix is a makeshift and an expensive noob trap: No +skills, no resists, no FCR, no mana, no FHR. I use rogue with Insight and quite happy and relaxed with it, but maybe it's just my personal preference
As for java in general, I feel this build has become much weaker in relative terms with rotw, since heralds and uber ancients are so tough. for uber ancients I'd go with self wield Infinity zon, and for Herald hunting with strafezon or Ice maiden
And coming back to emilio, the answer very much depends on whether he can survive uber ancients and heralds, since they are the only targets where you actually need the extra dmg from Infinity. Uber ancients I think not, since u need 290+res for him to survive, only possible with a godly Tomb Reaver. and regarding heralds I heard contradictory accounts, it's not unlikely he will die more often than you'd like him to. And even if he doesn't die, you will be at high risk yourself since you have to come into melee range and use Charged Strike..

I neither need Phoenix nor Insight... I have 8 manaleech and 5 Mana after kill. I rarely need to chug a pot, and if I do, I don't care, because those are dropping left and right. And I am rocking an average rolled eth Titans, nothing special.Spider-Dan wrote: 3 hours agoChugging mana pots is probably the most efficient way to play Javazon, but if you don't want to worry about mana, Infinity+Phoenix will clear faster than Insight+Spirit.DasNarf wrote: 2 days agoPhoenix is a makeshift and an expensive noob trap: No +skills, no resists, no FCR, no mana, no FHR. Spirit increases our overall clear speed by a lot compared to Phoenix:
+2 skills means more damage, higher BO, stronger Vally, and a bolstered defense. +Resists means less resist charms and more skillers, which again, leads to more damage and more flexibility of our build.
35 FCR speeds up Teleport by ~2 frames. Anything less than 13 frames is abysmally slow.
55 FHR is just fantastic, because Java has NO other sources of FHR but charms (and maybe Boots). Having Spirit directly translates into 5 less frames, almost halving her hit recovery time.
And then we have 22 VIT (=66 life) and around 100 mana and a bit of MDR.
Phoenix nets us:
Redemption. The best this thing has to offer. And it makes Necromancers and Horkers go crazy.
Physical damage. Boils down to extra leech. Yay. You don't need physical beyond that when your Charged Strike does 100k damage.
50 life. Okay, not bad.
Defense vs missile/higher resists. Useless. We have Slow Missiles and passive skills and low defense anyway. Most elemental ranged attacks can be evaded.
Some fancy effects and -%EFR and fire absorb. Nothing useful.
Phoenix is okayish if you really need mana recovery. But you should try to fix that, because once playing Spirit, you'll never look back...
