Conviction is always nice to have. Just means you have to gear for Maek in other slots / jewels or use Phoenix as your shield.
Or if you don't mind chugging mana pots you can go that route as well. I personally hate chugging / managing pots and would rather just run Insight merc for mana.

yes that + Phoenix and you win the game.
Yes, it's actually the recommended Merc weapon in all guides.
If properly geared, you usually deal enough physical damage that mana leech on one ring is sufficient. You'll still have to drink a potion now and again, especially in areas with lots of physical immunes/resistants.

Playing HC SSF right now.

Just in case a Phoenix shield is too costly:
You can also solve your Mana problem by taking Silkweave for the "+5 Mana after each kill", 1 rare ring besides Ravenfrost with +1 Mana after each kill and I also put 1 rare jewel with +3 Mana after each kill (and other nice stats) into my Griffon's Eye for a total of 9 Mana after each kill.
(That was before the new Colossal Ancients Jewels existed, nowadays you probably would prefer to put one of those into your Griffon's.)
At least that way I never have Mana problems.

2/20 Caster Gloves is BIS for javazon but may be expensive.
With ethereal Titan's Revenge, mana leech ring and good positioning, you're done with mana issues.

2/20 Caster Gloves + FCR ring/amulet with leech/MaeK and Spirit Monarch suddenly becomes BiS.
Phoenix is a makeshift and an expensive noob trap: No +skills, no resists, no FCR, no mana, no FHR. All of these stats are highly important to a Java, she who is restricted in most of her item slots (head: Griffons, body: Enigma, belt: Razor, weapon: Titans, one ring: Ravenfrost).
In fact, it is one of the worst options for a Javazon!

Javazon is alread super strong. With Infinity the stong will be beyond you can imagine. Besides, most of lightning immunity level 12 Conviction aura can break
I have it for merc in Mancatcher base and they can Jab the boss for you with the 40% CB as well besides the powerful Conviction
Only JMoD is better than Spirit (for Java) and you have to trade in a lot for this additional damage.DasNarf wrote: 1 day ago2/20 Caster Gloves + FCR ring/amulet with leech/MaeK and Spirit Monarch suddenly becomes BiS.

OP
Everybody needs (or at least, does profit from) CTA. Sadly.
Phoenix can be put into weapons or shields, but usually the latter is preferred.

You don't care much about CTA as javazon because, like any other zon build, you have to stay away from the ennemies.
Don't be afraid to make an Harmony switch so you're Flash.
Javazon is so strong, you clear anything in game in a snap.
