Description

I would like to see something like this being introduced so that we can max use of inventory space. I mean the box is a weird 10 across by 4 high. So horizontal grand charms (3 across 1 high) would help to solve use of this space which is likely filled with small charms at the moment. But not sure about game balance as it would impact value of current Small Charms. Thoughts?

For or against?

I already don't like that the game rewards you with so much power in exchange for making your life miserable and ruining your inventory. It's sooo one dimensional and boring that 1/3 to 1/2 of nearly every builds +skills comes from the inventory where there are no requirements or drawbacks to consider character-wise. If anything i would want the inventory to somehow cap at like 4 grand charms

I like charms, but how skill charms express themselves in endgame builds is like the least interesting part of d2's itemization to me

That's what you call a trade-off, a treaty with the devil. You gain something (power), you lose something else ("freedom").

That could work - if they limited each build to 3 of the same grand charm type like 3 skillers, it would diversify inventories as a whole. But I think horizontal charms would still be good for efficient use of space?

It'd just be more skillers. I don't think we should, it'll push out small charms, which are a fun part of the game.

Or if there were only unique charms in the game, limited to one copy in the inventory at a time. Like in Median XL.

Or the suggestion from someone above - that a single type of charm be limited to 3 instances in the inventory. That would stop the overloading of space with skillers.

Weird unintuitive rules don't generally help games.

They can do a lot for game balance. And there are already types of charms and materials that are limited to 1 per inventory, so this would be a less strict version of that for skillers. I get not everyone is on board, particularly those who want power builds / skiller maxxing. But just an idea...
