Can be used to make Runewords:

I don't think so.
But one socket in belts would make sense (the Belt "buckle") and would allow to place an Ancient Jewel there when runewords take up hands, head and chest. I'm against power-creep but this would only be a minor buff for all characters that might be fun.

I think a unique Belt with one socket would be cool as an endgame alternative to Arachnid Mesh, but i kinda like that you're forced to use rares/uniques for ur Boots/gloves/ Belt ^^
Another idea: let us socket rings and amulets. 1 socket obviously. Maybe only with Gems, both for balance and aesthetics (Jewels are already in a setting, and runes seem not to fit the jewelry).mikelessar wrote: 12 hours agoI don't think so.

One socket for belts is a great idea
A socket in a ring makes little sense to me, as it already has a socket filled with a gem! Amulet could make sense, as could Belt. I wouldn't want to see more than 1 socket though.
All trades are negotiable within reason

As a kid I was picking up all ethereal Boots, gloves, and belts until a friend asked me "have you ever seen one of those with sockets?!"
Playing HC SSF right now.
Hell completed: Sorc, Druid, Paladin, Ama, Assa

Iron Man (Paladin): Nightmare A1

I am not sure this would help build diversity, having to decide runeword vs. unique on torso for example would be no decision anymore if you get an extra rbf/uberjewel socket on Belt or ring
