Description

Is this a normal bug? I am on xbox playing my first character, so I'm just learning. I am working on finishing act V Hell for the first time kind of new. I got on and decided to run diablo before continuing on from
Glacial Trail
. I had revives and summons then merc got dropped, so I tp out to res him and back. Finished D and tp out and jumped to Hargoth. All my revives started dropping like usual, while I'm messing around with inventory, stash, etc. then I jump to Glacial and realize I still have 1
Revive
following and fighting. I cleared my way through all the underground, Tundra, Summit and to the keep before I quit the game. That lone DK was still there like he thought he was a skellie. I don't know how or why. It'd be amazing if that's how
Revive
was designed to work, but sadly not. Except for that lone DK that just didn't want to quit.

Of course, when I logged on the next time, he was gone just like the skellies.

It wouldnt surprise me if they introduced new bug(s) with the recent updates. So much has been added and changed lately.

I thought
Revive
is meant to stay only like an hour? I dont know, never use them when playing summoner. But havent used summoners much in d2r.

OP
Revives have a lifespan of 180 seconds.... usually

ONLY? Holy fudge I thought its an HOUR. I was wayyyyy off with that.

Perhaps there is then a bug if youve had yours over an hour and they dont die? I dont even understand why they have to be on a timer since every other summon is free of such limitations. Its just idiotic.

Havent played Necro at all since the most recent patch, but it was always 180 seconds, so unless they changed it that should still be the case.

Skill points into
Revive
just gives you more revives.

Honestly thinking, there should be summon mastery which improves the timer in Revives. And lvling the
Revive
itself would improve the power of revives and amount of revives.
Imo it would be much better this way. Or even better, not to have that stupid timer on it at all.

Agreed. Revives should stay just like golem & skellies I think. Which would also allow you to make more efficient use of
Corpse Explosion
.

Yea it was weird, especially since I had about 5 or 6 survive Diablo and the rest dropped shortly after as the time expired, except that 1.
I would dig it if the revives didn't come with the static 3 minute lifespan, but I can imagine bouncing around to get a combination of revs with all damage types and crushing blow. All together in such massive numbers, I think the necro would become the act boss. 💀

With mastery and no timer, what's the difference from
Bind Demon
? One is dead, another is alive?

This kind of improvement should be default, a balance out though the game after
Bind Demon
. Same goes for Druid ofc.
