Has there ever been talk of adding a feature to let you sell items from your cube to vendors? Most of us in Hell I assume have inventories full of charms and store things in the magic box.
How come we don't have an easy way to view the cube while in vendor inventories?
It could just bring up the cube between your inventory UI and the Vendor Inventory upon say, a right click of the cube.
I'd be so much richer if I could sell items instead of dropping them-- because it's a hassle to move charms.
Thoughts? Has this been brought up before? Or is there something I'm missing out on..

I quite literally don't sell anything to vendors.
16mil Gold sells for 1 Ist. Its not worth the time. Coupled with the horror stories I read of people selling their skillers, anni, or torches to vendors to have them poof forever. Its not worth it for me. Its easier and faster to just drop. Gold in D2 isn't all that valuable.

I'm not playing D2 as much as before. I'm too lazy to edit all my trade prices. Offer me something reasonable and I'll probably accept.
OP
I too have Fallen victim to selling an anni, needless to say- I'm more careful now. I suppose Gold is cheaper than I thought.Knappogue wrote: 13 hours agoI quite literally don't sell anything to vendors.

The real solution here would be a separate charm inventory instead
This x 10. We need separated inventory space for charms. A charm pouch. I never enjoyed filling my inventory with charms, but unfortunately it is 95-98% filled with charms always, because its a must. You need the extra resistances etc. what ever you get.
16M Gold = 1 Ist, but I'm willing to bet if you went and gambled 16M on circlets you'd have more than 1 Ist worth of items.Knappogue wrote: 13 hours agoI quite literally don't sell anything to vendors.

Also, merc Death is 50K, don't tell me you haven't run into a Herald pack or other situation that ended up costing 150K+ in res fees. You're not making up that lost cost in just scooping up Gold off the Ground in any reasonable kind of time frame.
My take is that if an item is:
-Equippable by your character (for fast cube swapping)
-guaranteed worth 35K
-doesn't take up a shit ton of room (I.e. daggers and wands with staff mods are ideal)
-then I'll usually take the time to vendor it.
Never bother with bows, staves, polearms etc because they take up too much room which makes it too time consuming. But you can fit 3 daggers or wands all worth 35K each and still have room for a bunch of runes&gems from a farming session my take is why not?

Kinda answered a bit in my other post but I usually address this by only picking up things my character can equip (and only if I know it sells for 35K) so I can quickly swap it onto my char & vendor without having to move anything else. Having to dump charms & rearrange stuff etc is too time consuming IMO.Triumphant wrote: 14 hours agoHas there ever been talk of adding a feature to let you sell items from your cube to vendors? Edit: However I've done it again. I've not addressed OP's main point and dismissed the issue they brought up. Taking the issue at face value (and convenience in general), I do find overall benefits in a hotkey to sell items directly from the cube. Similarly to how we have a hotkey to move items directly from cube to a stash stab.BigD wrote: 1 hour ago16M Gold = 1 Ist, but I'm willing to bet if you went and gambled 16M on circlets you'd have more than 1 Ist worth of items.

Almost never have I gotten anything of value with circlets within the first 16mil Gold. It usually takes close to 50mil for me before I get anything worth holding onto. I've gambled close to 500mil Gold on circlets and only gotten a few decent ones.
I've got a Gold find barb who averages 500k Gold per trav run (however I haven't done a run in over a month), and my main MF character's primary weapon is an alibaba. So for me personally it's not worth the hassle. Even with regular merc revivals (torch farmer), superior armor repair costs, Cyclone Armor charges for my Nova sorc, and glove, boot, ring, and amulet base gambling I'm still always maxed out on Gold.
Long story short, I'm always maxed out on Gold. I gamble it away when my characters literally can't even pick it up anymore.
I get that not everyone is in my situation, but you eventually get to a point in this game where Gold becomes annoying. Its annoying to sell. I've got to make how many trips to my stash to drop it all and for what? An Ist? Its annoying to gamble away. I've got to clear my stash, equip my bow, put a Gheed's in my inventory and then repeat the process when I'm done.
Its all just such a hassle.

You're dropping 500K Gold just on the Ground from Trav runs without vendoring anything? My MF barb gets like 300-400K on a good run and that's if I pick up all the shit and vendor it, and this is on P7. Now I'm curious to know what the difference is here.Knappogue wrote: 1 hour agoI've got a Gold find barb who averages 500k Gold per trav run (however I haven't done a run in over a month), and my main MF character's primary weapon is an alibaba. 500k is the low end. I regularly get 800k-1mil per run is just Gold on P1 TZ trav. My build maximize Gold find because when I made him I was using a slow load xbox (20 second load time to leave a game, and 30 seconds to make a new game). With that in mind I needed to get as much Gold per run as possible. So I do use 1-2 full rejuvi per run on average.
While killing I have 1771% Gold find. While horking I have 2149% Gold find. My merc does about 50% of the killing.
