Uber Ancients post 3.2

Charged Strike takes bosses done very quickly. In any case stack enough resist, and pre-buff using Treasury.

I guess Treachery? Also, do you think an Ice Bowazon could handle them as well? Could start with Harmony and bring two dozen

i seriously doubt it. did it with self wield Infinity zon before patch, and it wasn't a walk in the park. and icemaiden has like 20x less dps?

also a good geared fire sorc couldn't handle them even before patch.. or it would have been very long tiresome

Treachery sorry... self-wielding Infinity does not work well. Use

Thunderstroke, Spirit or Phoenix, griffon, thundergod

Belt, wisp and

Raven ring.

Concerning the statue count, we are in the same boat. Currently I could do 56 runs

How other classes than a Paladin fare I cannot tell. In my estimation having 260+ allres is absolutely mandatory (fire and lightning should be 375). I also think you have to have some "tankyness" with your char because I don't know how you can keep them effectively away from you. Therefore, I suspect ranged chars will have a hard time.

Furthermore, they already had very erratic behaviors and even sometimes blocked themselves which made it difficult to sort the two out you want to kill first. Now it is even worse because you really have to get your hits landed in order to leech and stay alive.

My advice is to reconstruct your char in the Maxroll Planner, export the file and then try it offline. This is how I tested the performance of my Zealer.

my geared lvl 94 1 pt smiter hammerdin pally died a couple of times. was previously a cake walk.

Before the new patch I did the colossal ancients with my Fury druid. First try was with an ethereal

Windhammer and

Jalal's Mane. The second one was with ethereal Death and Metamorphosis. Both times I had max resistances and draculs grasp. Had no problems at all. The second setup didi get the job done much faster. As merc I used the act 2 with

Holy Freeze and

Kelpie Snare. The zoo I summoned with plus 17 skills so they have max resistances.

Oak Sage I had maxed. They all survived quite long surprisingly, both times until the second ancient was about to go down.

Next week I intend to try the colossal ancients again. But since I play hardcore I am hoping for some further comments. I believe the zoo will probably die much quicker.

I don't understand the mechanism very well either. Haven't tried Infinity on ancients, only on ubers. It seems to me that the main problem with Infinity is the attack speed.

Thunderstroke attacks much faster. Moreover it is much easier to stack resist with a shield

Ok, so i tried the ancients again with my

Frenzy barb aftar analyzing the last encounter.
In hindsight there was several things that made the fight harder, like you guys commented on here. So i made some corrections for this fight.

1. no fire absorb vs

Talic was devastating. This time i swapped for

Dwarf Star and

The Rising Sun.
2. I swapped my "cannot be frozen" source from my

Cham:ed Arreats face to

Raven Frost, and got some cold absorb aswell.
3. I swapped

Belt to Tgods for the lightning absorb.
4. instead of dual Griefs, i went with 1 Grief and 1 Last Wish to make lifetap proc even more.
5. not really sure, but i might have had a

Bone Break GC on me the first fight.. wich probably made it harder aswell.

The result went from chugging my whole rejuv stack the first time to only using 6 this fight.

Jewels were meh.. both runs thought xD

I was very frustrated yesterday my self wield Infinity zon couldn't handle them. after analyzing I want to try again..
Target on light res is 355 (with

Thundergod's Vigor), on fire 285 (with

Infernostride), on cold 275
I didn't reach that points despite Treachery, mara, coh, etc
Only possible to reach with

Crown of Ages and double

Um if you ask me
alternatively with Spirit,

Thunderstroke + some godly double res gloves that i don't have
another problem was Faith rogue merc who got wiped out fast despite wearing coh, and attack speed dropped 33%.. not sure she can wear

thoughts on how to do it with zon?

also their drain rate shows 100, meaning you can life leach normally?
because i'm also thinking about spearzon with botd. will she need

Uber Ancients are a bitch, not complaining, just makes me rethink my gear. My Smiter dies if I don’t watch carefully

I'm honestly too afraid to try this yet. What about Uber Ancients with a group? Any easier?

one pally that came to help yesterday died, another was a pro and got them. so it's more about quality than quantity

My Smiter (that was facerolling ubers and ancients before) went to help someone 2 days ago and died a few times when the ancients would suddenly become untargettable and then get lost in the mess of summons.

Had to change out Enigma for a CoH to overstack resists and its back to being a cakewalk with

Eth Exile / Grief / gface /gore/

Raven/bk ring /20ias 10cb gloves/ highlords / verdungos. Even with overstacked resists (270-290 range) they bring it back down to jsut under 75%.

Not optimised gear. Highlords/ Bk ring/ verdungos and gloves can probably be swapped out for other stuff

I used to do summit with finger in my nose with my ubertristram smiter. Even my merc used to survive it. Then after a few days being offline and not knowing about the patch I was very surprised. Of course my merc died instantly and me few seconds after him. The funniest part was running naked back through portal with my resurrected merc who was awesome

Decoy (thanks whatever your name is) and not getting myself killed again. It costed me few times 50k but managed to retrieve my body and from the scrap in my stash build a more tanky version and have my revenge.

Ended with 95 resists thanks to GA even after theirs curse + some absorbs. 2700 Life with BO. Enough CB and Lifetap, 6 frames

Smite, max block. Wasnt that hard after but still there were some spikes of missing life probably from physical dmg from

Whirlwind and annoying summons.
So I am not sure if tgods is in my case the best

Belt or its better to use verdungo / g-strings with

Wisp Projector or any other combination that hase some PDR.
What do you think? Does PDR has some value here, or its better to

Concentrate on element absorbs?
