Disappearing enemies

So this is something I started encountering when I first got RotW expansion.
Sometimes enemies that i kill just disappear and don't leave a body. No Death animation, nothing. Other times they

Fade out again with no body or Death animation.
I'm not sure about whether they drop something when this happens or not. And it appears to happen completely randomly.

I've written it off as just bnet being bnet, but it started happening more often. I didn't mind too much tbh but when I started running trav with horker it can really mess with the run as I can end up with only like 3 bodies from the entire council to hork.

Anyone experienced something similar? Any explanations?

Now that you mentioned it, I have seen this frequently, too. I thought it might be a new die effect for cold spells but it is some sort of slight "fog animation" and then they simply poof...

It appeared in the RotW release and has been around since, did not experience any of it before that. Really hope this gets fixed as actually had an elite group disappear just as im about to go attack them, before that had just seen random mobs disappear.

Huh haven't thought of that. I'll have to check whether I have any cold damage on my barb.
Although there already was a solid cold Death animation, don't see why they would change it to an inferior (in my opinion) one.
