So sad about Curse procs... So will the best demon now be a unique cursed dark lancer?
Also sad about Conviction, but I understand that was insanely OP. Waheed!! Break time is over!
From my PTR test, Lister with holyfreeze and curse is still proccing amp frequently, especially against a large group of enemies.
Looking forward to trying it out!
Even with Lister consistently cursing, I ended up respeccing to take points out of goats and putting them in Blood Boil to supplement demon damage--still max Bind Demon and Demon Mastery, but instead of Goats and Mark, pur points in Boil and Engorge (maxed Oath in both builds). So, still a "Demonologist", but part time boiler
Just my take but having Patch 3.2 remove the Conviction Aura from the pool of auras for bound demons should get a joyous reception since for many the Conviction aura is among the top 2 sought after auras. Fire skills such as Ring of Fire are mana hogs even with an Insight wielding Mercenary. Removing the Conviction aura from the mix would force a choice between it and an Infinity, or a lesser all around build.
Really like the patch overall. I am still a little worried about the power level of a free aura from Bind Demon without much pt investment in non-demon builds ... But i do understand the reasoning of not wanting the skill to be so opaque
I hope they don't completely wash their hands w the warlock now after this patch. I hope it's still on the table to make additional changes in future patches
ROTW softcore ladder & non-ladder ā„ sorry if i'm slow to respond here or on battle.net sometimes! you can always message me on discord @kerph for a quick response
Well I wouldn't have made a Fortitude in a non-ethereal base if I knew they were leaving that bug in lmao nice

Wait so now if you want 3 demons (1 to Consume, 1 bound, and one extra), you need to invest 30 hard points into those two skills? Damn.

Fire Warlock with 1 point in Syphon (or Dagger with given skill on swap )have no mana problems at all. People just don't read skills description sticking strictly to Maxroll builds. Such people punish themselves and surely will need Insight on their merc.
"Latent Sunder Charms can drop from any monster, Terrorized and non-Terrorized, using Magic Find."
I don't understand the point of this. They can drop from any monster in the game now? Isn't that just more than it was pre-RotW?
EDIT: I'm posting too much so I'll just add this here:
I don't see anything about fixing the "eligible for chronicle" bug that was fixed early on but still exists in single player. GRR.

no. Ten points in Demonic Mastery and you can have 3 demons.
Yeah but 20 in Bind Demon if you want a real big boi like hephasto

I don't want that. I will go with Hell temptess. who will have aura and all other stats later ( like speed and toughness) via soft points. Need CB: there are Urdars available. this is at level 30.
On high levels Warlock have lots of skill points. And hard points are not an issue.
Unable to get unique demon with Conviction @ Lvl30 with just a Rhyme book? Yes. You will get no Conviction after the patch anyway.
Bearable? Yes, indeed.
You still have two weeks to run with your one point wonder Hephasto, if you haven't tired of him yet.
Or two weeks to respec several times and try other demons in game to see what suits you best.

Perhaps you didn't fully understand my post? I always completely read the skill tree, and on a caster-summoner hybrid, I decided that siphon was not a workable choice and probably a waste of skill points. Have you tried Ring of Fire? Mana is an issue but not an workable issue with an Insight wielding mercenary, but remove that and I just don't see siphon on swap making up the difference. Also I never use guides or have used Maxroll for any of my builds, I prefer to do everything on my own through trial and error.
I really like fire Nova WL. Itās like Nova sorc but better.
If siphon canāt keep the mana level up that will be super annoying, especially since they could have made Meditation an available demon aura, but they didnt
One solution could be to go metal grid Iron GolemInsight, and either do an annoying ammy swap before quitting games, or just lose the ammy plus skills and Fcr (wouldnāt be able to hit highest Fcr tier anymore without a 10 ammy unless I ditch FF)

Syphon gives you 1 mana and 1 life per every skill point (hard or soft) per any and every trash mob you kill.
Only time I was facing mana troubles and need to chug options are : killing Diablo and long distance teleporting.
With + skills and skillers it will be 20+ per devilkin.
I played fire Warlock but I liked Flame Wave more. Personal preference.
And Metalgrid with Insights Golem is always an option (this I haven't tried yet) . And you can wear Insight by yourself too. Or Crystal Sword with 6*Tir runes or jewels in it.
Sorc have no Syphon and she does great. You have it , not using it and do complain. You made your own decision that investing 3 skill points somewhere else will benefit you more. OK , we all do builds we like. Just pay the price.
I personally see no issue here for my fire or boiler Warlock builds.

It will probably be like Gheeds Charm. How many Gheeds Charms do you find on a ladder season? I predict finding sunder charms from heralds will be more frequent than from other monsters.
Besides, this is Diablo 2, you should be able to find most items from normal monsters as well. You can find Cham runes or unique sacred armors from normal monsters as well.
I'm guessing 3.2 will be deployed when ladder S14 begins?
3.2 should hit when S13 ends.
Since they didn't specify any differing end date for S13 however, odds are we're going back to "S13 ends and S14 starts immediately with no gap in between" which would then imply that the patch does indeed also hit with the scheduled start of S14.
