This playstyle requires Enigma, if you don't have it, you should learn how to trade. Of course, after the nerf, something may change, but the living shield mechanic will remain viable. If you already have Enigma, but you play no faster than my dead grandfather, then you should think about why you need this toy. What's the point of sending a stupid merc into battle when Wlock is so powerful he can destroy everything like a Mosaic? A large demon can't be blocked in one spot; just step aside and he'll rush into battle. I also repeat, you can throw him into the crowd with Death Mark, and your mercenary will stay by your side. Yes, sometimes it's worth pressing other buttons, and not just spamming with a Blessed Hammer or Nova.
Below is just a way to quickly and cheaply get a demon with a curse and aura, so you don't have to f*ck your brain and can just continue fighting while everyone else is fap and crying about their loss. If you can't do everything 5-10 times faster with Enigma than by walk, then we have nothing to talk about; this post is not for you.
Original post without edits:
Hephasto the Armorer is a medium-sized monster, meaning he will constantly run away, when u teleporting. It's best to catch the big demon like a Blunderbore, Megademon and Lister the Tormentor;
Why? What for? For what purpose?
This will make you completely invincible to ranged attacks!
READ AGAIN:
THIS WILL MAKE YOU COMPLETELY INVINCIBLE TO RANGED ATTACKS!
Every time I see a Warlock running from Stygian Fury's, Skeleton Archer's, or Tainted's, I feel sad.
And every time I try to explain that Hephasto sucks, no one understands me, and everyone tries to hold on to their useless demon because they spent several hours looking for him.
This is an old mechanic that has always been used by the Necro Summoner with Enigma. While you have a living shield of monsters on you, you do not take damage. You just need to Teleport once to gather everyone in presence:
To catch a cursed demon, you simply need to reroll the TZ-mod, any normal monster has this modifier. You don't even need to change your build; just get 20 points in the Bind Demon skill using charms, Mang Song's Lesson and the Spirit on swap.
Catch any normal Blunderbore in the tombs, durance, or River of Flame that is under Terror. After that, look at the aura. I'm lazy and just reroll it to Holy Freeze.
Fanaticism is a bit more complicated, in this case you need a unique lightning-enchanted demon, you'll have to search for him, because unique monsters don't get the TZ mod Then, when receiving damage, the demon will emit Charged Bolts, which also curse enemies. You might even have to use Death Mark sometimes to throw the demon into the crowd. Sometimes it's enough to take a step to the side for the demon to rush into the crowd of enemies, this works especially well with Lister.
When binding a demon, the number of players does not matter, this demon can withstand ranged attacks even from T5 heralds!
In addition, the big demon prevents the Death of your stupid mercenary, who is actually the carrier of the dmg-auras.
Now a few words about Willowisp:
https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Lightning
If you raise your mercenary's resistances, you will live peacefully when confronted with souls. But if the souls have a Conviction aura, it is a 100% Death. In this case, to increase survivability, you need to use Metalgrid to create an Iron Golem from the paladin shield. Shield must be 41AllRes + 4socPdia (76AllRes). But it's worth noting that this won't protect you from Diablo's lightning, as it deals physical damage in addition to lightnng damage.Lightning Bolts are size 2, which means that they can collide with more than one target simultaneously. Although Last Collide is enabled, since Bolts are not destroyed upon collision a single bolt can collide alternately with two adjacent targets as it passes through them, potentially applying its lightning damage twice to each target before it is out of range.
Also, this trick with the demon will not save you from Blizzard, Frost Nova, Bone Fetish, although it will protect you from fire/poison breath and poison clouds. You are still susceptible to melee attacks, but if you keep your distance using Echoing Strike or another build, you are always safe.
In short, bury your Hephasto once and for all, you just need Enigma and a big-size demon.
I wrote this post so I wouldn't have to explain everything every time, but rather just provide a link. It's up to you to figure out how to use this information.
