I think if you can reach the next FCR breakpoint with it, it is a solid choice for any magic/fire build. I found a 8 fire and 8 magic helmet. Therefore, my sons and I maybe try it with the Warlocks we are currently leveling (fire and

Abyss).

Griffon's is a total waste on FoHdin IMO. All the big guides suggest it but honestly, you can buff the lightning damage all you want and it's still pointless next to the

Hellwarden's Will could be great in theory, but AFAIK it's still unclear whether -enemy magic res actually helps

Holy Bolt. In theory it should buff damage to demons but from my testing, I didn't notice much difference. Admittedly this was fairly half arsed testing, and the one HW I have found is of course anti-perfect. :p

I am planning to test properly at some point with all the new -enemy magic res / + magic damage gear, and see if it noticeably buffs FoH (Void,

Gheed's Wager,

Sling/

Opalvein,

Guardian's Light).

Still, I'm using HW on my FoHdin currently because I'm sick of that bloody green hood and this one looks way cooler.

Agreed, up to a point. Apart from cows, what are some major

Holy Bolt immune enemies? If you don't care about cows, buff

Holy Bolt with HW to clear CS and WSK faster. But as a FOHdin I guess you shouldn't even be thinking about going on cows?
You wanted griffon for the 25 FCR as well as the boos to light damage before, to reach 125 fcr breakpoint. With

Sling and

Opalvein you can now reach 125 fcr even without griffon (before rotw you'd be missing the 5% exactly even with 2/20 amulet) and wanted SoJs over 10 fcr rings which had little value to fohdin.

So maybe it's just time to update guides online.

Fair points re FCR. I've not tried it but I suspect cows would be a nightmare for a FoHdin even with maxed lightning damage!

I think it could rock on a FoH/Hammer/Smiter hybrid.
