Warlock best bind demon

I was actually wondering about the

Shenk the Overseer as a binded demon over Hephasto.

Shenk has somewhat longer range on its attack so it could be better than Hephasto in that way. Both I believe can have Cursed status and aura is no biggie as high enough bind level provides aura if Shenk has none.

But I suppose shenk is a lot weaker compared to hephasto? as in dies faster?

I will test (at this moment, I'm trying to bind one with Cursed and an "OK" aura - I have

Bind Demon 20+)
My guess is that it will be less tankier and will have a (little ) worse IA than

Hephasto the Armorer, but will hit as hard (as most of damage come from

Bind Demon +

Demonic Mastery)

As mostly solo-player, all I can say is that the

Vile Mother kicks ass.

Yesterday I got hands on a

Cham, so I swapped my Desert Merc for a Mist-wielding Rogue Scout. No more reviving the merc after every second

Herald! With curse and

Sigil Lethargy she does +100% AoE damage.

Now I am rocking 2 Defilers, the Demon, 5 demon brood, the merc and a

Oak Sage from my Hoto. Finally, this feels like an army.

Only downside with the

Vile Mother is that constant hissing sound she makes. But a good metal music running in background solves the problem for me.

Zod so far. But I found that base tho:

immune to cold, immune to physical, cursed, extra fast, crushing blow

I was trying to bind

Shenk the Overseer because I didn't finished hell yet

But after a little "trick" to do TZ ahead of time :

I decided to follow your suggestion, and will start Act 5 with my L79 Warlock with a bounded L96

Club " I died, let's respec"

So some questions guys

1) does it even matter which demon you bind? they all are kinda immortal
2) does aura scale with skill level or monster level? because

Conviction aura on a random demon in act IV with ~10 points spent didn't break the fire res
3) is pure summoner better than fire / summoner?
4) does

Bone Break work for the summons?

btw warlock is strong yes, but the build I did didn't feel completely insane.. close to my 2nd zon, the icemaiden on playthrough

But to face Ubers... it may make difference

For regular summon it is snapshotted on cast (so you can equip

Bone Break cast, and then unequip). Equip after the cast will not affect the summons already casted.

Bind Demon, if it "looks" only the moment you bounded it, or at the beginning of each game (like

Iron Golem)
In doubt... I always keep

Bone Break in my inventory when I exit

... and if you need it to actually do damage (instead of just a Curse/Aura carrier)
You need a melee monster with a good AI

I just tried "Pure summoner" (already knowing that it is not a top Build, but wanted to try )
From what I saw/read,

Echoing Strike,

Mirrored Blades and

Apocalypse are top builds and

Blood Boil is better than "pure summoner"

hmm thx.. i meant just summon a few critters and let them do all the work

surprised about

Apocalypse.. it's basically a screen sized

Meteor without aoe effect. good vs mobs, mediocre vs single targets

and.. is it a bug or intended that hellforge won't spawn when hephasto is bound?

I'm on that lazy side at the moment
As I have

Bind Demon 20+, I just bind normal monsters (of a good type) on a Cursed TZ until get

Fanaticism as the aura
Currently with

Vile Mother, will try

Blunderbore next.
