Terror Zone rotation and Statue drops needs to change

Description

Trying to farm
Baal
statue is a joke. The worldstone keep usually only gets terrorized once a day. Meanwhile other random areas get terrorized 3 sometimes 4 times a day. 30 minutes to try to farm a statue where the average run takes 4-5 minutes if you're teleporting. Maybe 3 minutes if you're very lucky. I was fortunate enough to notice the upcoming TZ to be worldstone, so i set it up for the last wave of
Baal
to be alive just as the terrorization began. Needless to say i did not get a statue. You could make the same argument for
Chaos Sanctuary
. At least those runs can be done in ~1 minute. But the rotation rate is still abysmal.

How is the average person supposed to acquire this bloody statue? One has to drop everything they're doing and dedicate 30 minutes to stressful teleporting and farming.

I don't want the game to tell me when i should play. I know people have made this criticism since
Terror
zones came out. But now tying an endgame crafting component to it is a step too far.

You can farm keys ANY time. Statues should be able to drop any time you kill these bosses--perhaps at a lower rate. When a boss is terrorized it should significantly increase your chances.,

I'm sure people have said all of this before.

This is a game i have LOVED since i was 11 years old played D2 Classic and i hate to see it turn this way. It feels very antithetical to Blizz North game design

I agree, 30 minutes is too little, I miss the 1h long TZs

This might not be much of a fix, but in the Durance TZ earlier today Meph dropped a Buk-Kathos,
Madawc
's, and
Korlic
's so it seems that Meph can drop more statues than I originally believed possible.

They can all drop 3 each, specific ones (basically the surrounding acts). 90% chance of native act, 5% chance on the other two. Andy and
Duriel
can drop act 1, 2, 3; Meph drops 2, 3, 4; and Diablo and
Baal
drop 3, 4, 5. I think I have all that right, it's listed on the boss pages here.

Indeed 😉 As a rather casual gamer I am not very happy either with these game design decisions (same with the new Sunder Charms) and I proposed the same change concerning the statues (reduced drop rates in non TZ times). However, I don’t think any changes will be made in the near future.

Getting all statues as well as getting Sunders is a very hard and stressful task if you cannot play the game anytime and for more than an hour at a time.

Wife: "Honey, the kids are hungry. Shall we make dinner?"
Me: "Sure, I´ll be right there... Oh wait, Worldstone Keep is TZ in half an hour. Can they hold out for another hour and a half?"
Wife: "?????????"

Even I recognize that this is bonkers 😁

Therefore, I currently try to farm five more
Worusk's End
(which could take a few weeks), do ten
Colossal Summit
and then put this project on hold for the time being. Concerning the new Sunders I do not even try until they will make any substantial changes. Maybe I grind and sometime simply buy one for my Chars.

After a 20 year break from D2 I started playing D2R in 2024 with my sons (9 and 10 years old)
