Uber trist HELP!!!

I made uber trist and i was not ready... Game: Search1, Pass:1

Man I really messed up. I died multiple times and equipped gear to fight back to my body and died. I rejoined and lost a bunch of gear.

WTF! that's not how it used to work.

Meph is running about right of the portal and the other two are chilling by the well.

I lost a Spirit

Monarch, Treachery bow, Mania armor,

Colossus Voulge Insight, some rare gloves, rings,

Boots,

String of Ears. This really sucks.

The guys leading up to uber trist are super easy in comparision. Anyway, I'll leave the game up for as long as it will allow. Kill them and take the charm if you want.

NEVER re-gear. You can only have ONE body and it is always the recent one. If youve worn items which replace your original gear; they are lost. I dont understand why this is a thing.

I was about to come try it out but someone did it for you already.
By the way, very bad idea to give your game name and password publicly like this unless you wish to lose your torch / what ever.

Someone cleared the level. Not sure who. Looks like it could be HenryCreel or LMajgo.

I believe it to be the RandomUser121
He said he cleaned it and has the torch. Please contact him to make sure this was the case, thats what I got out of his comment at least.

EDIT:
Yeap RandomUser121 cleaned and said he added you aswell. So contact with him and you get your torch back.
You got lucky! Dont spread a game name and password this way or you might risk losing it. Ask for help and conversate in private.

I agree with never re-gearing. But not all of this this is entirely true. The gear from other bodies is only lost if you leave the game. It is possible to recollect all your bodies, if you haven't left the game yet, and get all your gear back. You will need to store gear in the stash to make space though, otherwise youll discover you can't actually pick up the body. However this is not recommended since its never guaranteed you'll be able your bodies back due to monsters guarding them.
Also its not necessairly the most recent body, its the one with the most value in game

Gold if you were to vendor your gear. With that in mind its usually the first body that is saved.

Uber Tristram. Your best bet is to save and quit your game, and then rejoin your game and recover your body in town, and then you're either ready to try again, or ask for help here in the forum. If you get a chance review the comments on this thread.

Thanks for the help and advice. I guess I just panicked. I didn't know if the game would disappear if I left and tried to rejoin. If I recall correctly, the classic D2 LOD all your stuff would be on your dead bodies when your rejoined. I was shocked to not have all the stuff back. I think I'll be ok though. I have enough ok gear.

Thank you for the offer, but I have my own monarchs' so I'll be ok; just frustrated.

When you get a chance, just for fun. Make a lobby game, you have to hold it for a few minutes, and then quit and save and the log back into the game. If you were in the game long enough you should be able to get back in because as ShadowHeart stated, the game will hold for about 5 minutes (4 minutes and 45 seconds is safe). Then quite and save again but this time go to your character screen and grab a different build, and you should be able to login with that one too. That should make you feel a little more secure when it comes to exiting and rejoining games.

BUT this only applies if you are online right? singleplayer closes the portals?
