Description
I've played this for a few months, and i play other online games daily, so when i says i RARELY experience lag or latency issues , i mean rarely.
But recently in D2R - after ROTW release - i've experienced frequvent lag in D2R, to the point where i can be surrounded by enemies
and hitting them but nothing happens, then suddenly i get teleported back to the other side of a doorway.... horrible lag.
So i'm asking, is anyone else experiencing this lag since rotw release or ?. I'm located in scandinavia with an optical 100mbit internet
and no damn router so there's no problems ON MY END . There's has to be something that's degraded with D2R's servers since rotw release.

Can be used to make Runewords:

I noticed this myself. In Korea, playing on the Asia server (which I think is physically located in Korea?). Just now my baby Amazon was getting beat up by creatures that, on my screen, were in another room.
I never noticed this before. It's dead early morning here, too, so I can't imagine it's overload. What's going on?

I've had similar experience so far (EU server, Eastern Europe). "Teleporting" player model is most likely a sign of packet loss. I started getting it pretty frequently since S13 ladder started. Even lost a HR to lags a week ago on ladder (was farming p1 cows, an Ohm dropped, but when I rushed to take it, my character's model started "teleporting" all over the place and "connection has been interrupted" message popped up, which was frustrating to say the least). At the same time other online games (e.g. Arc Raiders, BF6, HD2) run smoothly for me and with very few network issues, unlike D2R
The game has always been awful laggy.
Tells me 30-60 ping, but it really feels closer to 200-250 ping at least. It is strange, its as if they are hiding the actual ping behind fake numbers.

I am getting lag. In Japan with the servers in Korea. Never had bad lag before, but now it goes up to 140 Ping and takes about 11-12 seconds to load into the game at times.
JST; Playing this season; On and Off.
Playing from Italy, it really is awful in the weekend. Some "Connection has been interrupted" as well.
I first noticed when ROTW came out, every time I create a game or load there is a significant delay.
When I tried teleporting around Tal's tomb, often I find myself teleporting in Black space. Give a sec and the screen loads. Often I will actually Teleport outside the walls.
Going from Act to Act shows a delay that is noticeable.

Teleporting "outside the map" in tals tombs etc. is nothing new. Its been around since d2 original dayssbn wrote: 22 hours agoI first noticed when ROTW came out, every time I create a game or load there is a significant delay.

Oh yeah, rubberbanding, jumping monsters, being killed by invisible projectiles, feels like playing LoD 2004.
Nostalgia, my friends!

No issues on Americas servers that I've encountered.
I get random lag spikes since RotW (America servers) which stop everything for 2 seconds or so. Also sometimes walls don't load fast enough when I Teleport, which it sometimes used to do but seemingly now more, and sometimes even ENEMIES don't load right away even though I can hear them hitting me.

I've been put on a waiting queue! Now I have to wonder if there's some event going on. Did Blizzard launch a new game or something?
yes, also encountered this despite being on superfast broadband. I'm lucky the lag spikes haven't killed me yet but I am sure I am jinxing myself as I type this....
It doesn't happen often, I'd say 1-2 spikes every few hours.. imagine being close to level and dying to this...I'm relieved I don't play HC.

This is a little off topic, but I would love to find out what the game does in the background. Normally the game is running fine and CPU is around 70-75 celsius. I have set the game to limit fps to 30 fps when the game is not active (alt tabbed away) and normally runs at 60 fps when active.
The game all of a sudden starts doing something in the background and my CPU heat just increases to 85+ out of nowhere, itll do that for a while then it stops again and goes back to normal.
This is 100% something the game does in there and I would love to know WHAT.
It doesnt matter if im in the lobby, if im in the game of my own or in public. It happens while playing, it happens when not actively playing and just idling.
Ive tried to find info about what could be going around but cant :'(
It just bothers to know that something is going on which makes such toll on the CPU and brings the heat up even though nothing should be going on.

I regularly have what I would describe as some form of desync issues.
I run around an enemy, but he seems to be standing still despite displaying a running animation. When I stand still, he still doesn't move but after some seconds he melee attacks and hits me.
So it seems that server-side he is actually moving, but it is not displayed (or updating) client-side.
I have had that happen with a tier 5 Herald enemy a couple times and I died to a oneshot 2 times so far because of it.
