Description

Believe it or not, some monsters can actually survive even a high-level

Apocalypse blast, so you should cast something else during the cooldown of

Apocalypse (1.8 seconds), assuming that you can stand still and do not have to move to avoid taking too much damage.

You have two options as a Fire Warlock:

Ring of Fire or

Flame Wave. The latter is only about half as fast as

Ring of Fire but does about four times more damage and even leaves some burning patches on the Ground (like

Meteor but smaller). So your choice as a secondary damage spell should be

Flame Wave.

For

Baal and other tough bosses, attack like this: 1x Sigil of Lethargy, 1x

Apocalypse, 2x

Flame Wave, 1x

Apocalypse, 2x

Flame Wave and so on. Recast Sigil of Lethargy if it expires or if your enemy moves out of the circle.

Flame Wave will project a wave of fire in the direction of the cursor. It will go beyond your screen in distance and can lay waste to an entire corridor of enemies. It does take a second to attack with and the Warlock is vulnerable during that short time as you can't move.
The range of the skill is always the same but can be stopped by walls, slopes and other obstacles in the path but if it hits a doorway (or stairs/steps) it will go through the opening but only as wide as the doorway is. Goes through some obstacles like chests.
The width of

Flame Wave will increase with skill but stopps at 13 yards wide which makes it very difficult to miss with unless you're too quick on the trigger.
