I think it's hilarious that a user named d2jsp gives advice on what is Blizzard's user agreement.
Unfortunately or fortunately, njaguar managed to bring d2jsp out of the gray area. Forum Gold isn't real money, so the site can't be blocked. d2jsp is no longer directly associated with bots.
Although there are undoubtedly plenty of people there who use bots to make a profit. That's the point: if someone does something that breaks the rules, it's best to remain silent, even if there are currently no sanctions for it.
Traderie.com also has a lot of Asian players who buy high runes on asian RMT-sites and then buy the items they need.
Therefore, by trading there, and here too, you become an accomplice, despite not knowing whether the items and runes were obtained honestly or through bots.
I find the concept of "value" changes between online and offline play. I find this one of the great things about Diablo 2. Something you would find in online play and go "M'eh" might be absolutely godly for an offline play because one cannot simply trade for great items items in offline, they must be found or made/cubed. Take P/Ammys for example...totally tradable for online play and valuable (esp in large quantities) but in offline, just another gem to socket for str, cube to socket or create crafted stuff.
That's my big thing. I did 20+ years offline so when I got online and completed Tal's and IK sets, I was pumped and the larger community thinks it's meh. Same with a number of really good rares I have saved. It turns out that they don't have much, if any, trade value.
Conversely, since I never stacked up a full BiS character, things like 5% FHR charms didn't make a difference to me but I saw a Reddit post recently where people were talking 3 or more Jah for a 5% FHR 5 all resist charm. I've Charsi'd stuff that would absolutely have been worth at least a few Ist because I just didn't know. Oh well, live and learn.
Old man still killing demons and yelling at clouds.
My searching for player counts ended up on an auction site so I checked it out for kicks and was blown away. The site I found was charging $50 USD for a 1-40 character leveling service. 1-90 was over $80. I was doing that for free for people. Are there actually people paying for leveling? The site reported some numbers on how many order and they had 38,000+ on the 1-40. That's almost $2 million. Why am I working for a living if there is that kind of money in this?
For the record, I'm not quitting my job for the pipe Dream of being a paid Gamer. I just wonder if people are really paying for that, and how much money is actually being spent. However, I might start charging people for power leveling though. I could up it from free to Chipped Gems.
Time is the most precious resource unless you are immortal. In fact, providing boosting services is a useless activity if you don’t enjoy it, because you don’t gain any real-life skills to increase your salary or expand your business.
A reasonable price for 1-60-leveling would be around $30. After this, the buyer independently levels up on baalruns. Most of these sites are just middlemen who frantically search for a booster when they receive an order. On the other hand, the price for 1-99 starts at $300 if you buy the service directly. Intermediaries Charge even higher prices.
To provide professional character leveling services, u need 7 accounts, a good pc with 32Gb RAM, and experience playing all characters, with a suitable build for 8ppl.
Providing services for real money doesn't violate the user agreement, but you are required to pay taxes in your country. Of course, you can get around this by accepting payments, for example, in charms 32020.
