I enjoyed all the TZs a lot.
You could join Split-MF games, there were TZs for everybody. You could comfortably farm your TZ and every other player had another TZ for himself. And if you played solo, you could just farm a lot of different areas. Mephi run? Dia? Baal? Or Cow? Or Halls of Pain? Whatever we wanted.
Now we are back to 1 TZ and the game feels boring and empty with only one TZ.
Multiplayergames? 8 players running to one TZ? Not much fun in that.
And solo? Well, let's hope that the one TZ is to your liking.
Sure, we can always farm non-TZ areas. But if even a TZ96 in an 8 player game is not a challenge, running non-TZ areas feels just boring.

I'd honestly quite like if they simply made "terrorized" (or something harder than TZs for that matter) an extra difficulty beyond hell and had it always be everything. Won't happen of course. But would be nice.

They did something similiar with D3 - added a lot of additional difficulties.
And added an infinitly scaling "Greater Rift", where everybody could push the limits.
No matter how strong you were, you could always do a higher Greater Rift.
That kept D3 alife IMO.
D2 is the better game, but it is a pity that they didn't add some of this ultra-lategame content to it.

Favor Perfect Amethyst over Perfect Skull...
These days, I don't need that much Perfect Skull, it is less encourage to pay in Perfect Skull but it will treat slightly better than Perfect Gems.

Part of the original genesis in creating terrorized zones was to in effect diversify zones. Yet in my mind, they instead amplified the preexisting meta. Why on earth would I farm Cold Plains, Cave? But Chaos Sanctuary is terrorized? A zone I've farmed consistently for 20 years? Heck yeah let's go!
Thus to me it's not necessarily enough to enable terrorized 24/7 but also to increase the density of the otherwise extremely 'inefficient' zones. And no, I'm not suggesting that Cold Plains, Cave runs replace Worldstone Keep, Throne of Destruction as the de facto method in climbing seasonal ladders. Merely, promote the original intent in opening up more viable zones for players.
Thus to me it's not necessarily enough to enable terrorized 24/7 but also to increase the density of the otherwise extremely 'inefficient' zones. I have a bit of a different view here. I kind of like that we’re back to having some unpredictability. I was missing the excitement of the stars aligning and a great TZ being up when I have my little bit of time to play video games.
It was getting kind of staid to always have the same areas up. It was like “well I guess I should kill Andy in the game.” But I wasn’t excited about it. Contrast that with when it’s normal TZs and she comes up…it’s like “let’s do this!”
And last but not least, I was missing having a reason to visit Duriel. I’ve missed that disgusting demon.

Having started playing during the event:
It was nice to have many different zones up all the time.
But it would have been cool to have somerotating zones, for example keep the act bosses permanently in TZ but the other zones cycle through.
So all zones would have been worthwhile to visit.

I completely agree with this, during the winter event i farmed Mephisto for around 125 x Charged Essence of Hatred (pricecheck.php?item=3925), so I'm happy that xmas is over - Having special events makes the game more alive than just keeping it static all year round.Lava_Assassin wrote: 20 hours agoI have a bit of a different view here.
