Description
I don't care about Phase Blade having faster attack speed or being indestructible.
Phase Blade looks fine on a paladin or anyone else, but it looks horrible in the hands of a barbarian.
I found my 2nd Lo(smitter got the first Grief pb first), just need 1 more to make 2 Grief Colossus Blade for the Frenzy baba.
try to change my mind to not use Colossus Blade, but you won't be able to.
looks>>>>dps
my baba is currently running around with dual Eth Oath Highland Blade/ Balrog Blade.
I have seen plenty of dual Grief Phase Blade barbarians, and even if they rape everything on the screen, they look hilarious running around with tiny swords in each hand.
I mean just fucking look at this shit lol.

Can be used to make Runewords:

Forgot swords and go for Berserker Axe
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
best looking base is the Zweihander, also fast base speed
OP
sorry axes look like shit, also I will always favor the swords.
sword&shield>2handed sword>dual swords>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>everything else.
Looks are secondary to performance. Well, at least that was the mantra 25 years back. I have no reason to think or believe otherwise today.
OP
no, the reason my druid is not using hoto, is because flails looks like shit, the day you can make hoto in a sword I will use it.bigbikefan wrote: 18 hours agoLooks are secondary to performance. Well, at least that was the mantra 25 years back. I have no reason to think or believe otherwise today.
I made Enigma in full plate armor just for the looks, I don't give a fuck if the armor requires 80 str, necro can still wear it having 0 points in str.
I have good news, you can make HOTO in a staff.MintBlancmanche wrote: 18 hours agono, the reason my druid is not using hoto, is because flails looks like shit, the day you can make hoto in a sword I will use it.bigbikefan wrote: 18 hours agoLooks are secondary to performance. Is the longer reach of a Colossus Blade (compared to a Phase Blade) a meaningful advantage, or is it just cosmetic?MintBlancmanche wrote: 22 hours agoI have seen plenty of dual Grief Phase Blade barbarians, and even if they rape everything on the screen, they look hilarious running around with tiny swords in each hand.
This. It's an action game, not a fashion show.bigbikefan wrote: 18 hours agoLooks are secondary to performance. Well, at least that was the mantra 25 years back. I have no reason to think or believe otherwise today.
Maybe if we had a (limited!) transmog option...
Subjective. I personally think dual PBs looks badass. But I can understand why some people hate the look of certain items.
Same reason why I HATE that my Enigma is in a Dusk Shroud. At times I have debated putting some runewords in Ancient Armor just to get the look without the horrendous strength requirement.

It's worth noting that if you would ever switch to Whirlwind, you would need 37% IAS if using Grief in a Colossus Blade to reach max hits. With Colossus Sword you cannot reach them.
I think with the exceptional version of CS, the Zweihander you need only 30% more ias on your Grief roll, which is more realistic.

I'm with you. Grief is so good that even if you could make it in a "broken Long Sword" it would still stomp the game. I vote fashion in this case. The min-maxers can chase 12 more DPS, but you'll look more badass.MintBlancmanche wrote: 22 hours agoI don't care about Phase Blade having faster attack speed or being indestructible.

I've been making end game rune words in Chaos Armor and Sharktooth Armor for this reason.BigD wrote: 10 hours agoSubjective. I personally think dual PBs looks badass. But I can understand why some people hate the look of certain items.

It is not true anymore, since they reworked WW. Now it needs more IAS and off weapon IAS works for it (for example 2xgriefCB needs 75ias, which can be covered like 20LoH, 20HL, 35ias on Grief rolls).mohnstrudellove wrote: 3 hours agoIt's worth noting that if you would ever switch to Whirlwind, you would need 37% IAS if using Grief in a Colossus Blade to reach max hits. PB is still the best base, since now WW is affected by slowing effects of Decrepify and Holy Freeze. With dual PBs it is easy to reach 5fpa hitchecks even when cursed.
Oh I have always loved how the barbarian looks so dang cool with one 2 handed sword in each hand ever since the launch of the original D2 in 2000
Back then it was dual Doombringer. Right now it's dual Grandfather.
I just think my barb would look better in a Shadow Plate, but I can't neglect that his Sacred Armor has better stats

I play non-ladder SC only, from EU but can trade in all regions
OP
found 2 grandfather but they are too slow and as weapon they only have damage, the rest of the skills are crap, even when Shael'd, currently running 2 Eth Oath and shadowplate Treachery xDNicconille wrote: 2 hours agoOh I have always loved how the barbarian looks so dang cool with one 2 handed sword in each hand ever since the launch of the original D2 in 2000Back then it was dual Doombringer.
