Runic talons mosaic failure

Hi,

I just put

Mal,

Gul,

Amn into

Runic Talons and didn't get Mosaic runeword.
Why ? What am I missing ?
Can someone guide me what I did wrong ?

The Mosaic runeword can only be made on ladder. Ladder only runeword.

So how is it possible, people sell Mosaic as non ladder ?
Are these all scams ?

They bring it to non-ladder from ladder when the latter ends, and characters get transferred to non-ladder.

Real question is: If u got a Mosaic transfered from ladder to non ladder will it still work ? I mean if u can't assemble Mosaic with

Mosaic built on ladder keep working after the transfer. All ladder-only runewords work like this and have following comment on their description page here on diablo2.io:

This rune word can only be MADE on ladder, but you can find these in the wild being used & traded on non-ladder because whenever a ladder season ends, all characters & items from that ladder season, including any Mosaic and other ladder-only rune words that were created during that ladder season, will transfer over to non-ladder. The ones you come across on non-ladder were created during a previous ladder season.

Exactly like already has been answered - the rune word can only be made on ladder, but any that were made during a ladder season will automatically transfer over and become non-ladder items after the next ladder season reset. Ladder-only rune words that transfer over to non-ladder in this fashion continue to work as is when hitting non-ladder, they don’t vaporize, or turn into gemmed

Many people use this to turn a profit (it was more profitable in the past though - it’s been 9 seasons since Mosaic was introduced) - they make lots of ladder-only rune words during a ladder season and then trade them after reset.

And some people just give them away to non-ladder folks after reset

I added that note (which sTonemason quoted) on all ladder-only rune word pages a while ago because this question kept popping up. My hope was that people would see it when checking out the rune word on here and see it before wasting their runes on trying to make one on non-ladder. And to preempt the people who kept commenting on the rune word pages that there must be something wrong.

Is there an updated list of ladder/non-ladder, and single player runeword restrictions? Didn’t all of the runewords that were ladder only in original LOD come to non-ladder, and weren’t most of the new D2R runewords migrated to non-ladder?

I know that a lot of guides/databases still call many runewords which are available in all game modes “ladder only”, to the point that I and probably many others have actually been conditioned to completely ignore the supposed “ladder only” restriction.

You can filter the runeword database to get an overview: runewords/#filter=Ladder%20only

As far as I know single player no longer has any runeword restrictions in D2R and all ladder-only runewords can be made there.

From Memory the only runewords that are still (and will probably remain) ladder-only are Mosaic, Metamorphosis, Hustle and all the "

Correct. All rune words are available offline in D2R, even the ladder-only ones.

There are no single player restrictions anymore (unlike LoD).

Yes, all except the latest batch that was added in patch 2.6 for ladder season 3 (we're now on ladder season 12).
