The Necrarch team

It's my turn to say "stay awhile and listen".

Dear players, I started D2R when it came out on September 2021, and joined d2.

Io two months later.

And since then, with a limited amount of time (kids... so around 3 hours per week in average), I have been levelling and gearing my characters. And today, that's it, the journey to the goal that I had set is over. 8 characters have finished the game (1 per class, 2 for my dear necros), and been levelled to a high enough level to call it "enough". I also have a decent bank of runes (6 of each, one tab of shared stash, one tab of a mule).
Please allow me to present my team (built for p1, and as you can see, I love Sets...) !

Nicodemus the Necromancer, level 94, accompanied by Azrael, Act 2 Might + Insight merc.
My first and forever char since 2003 (but fully restarted for D2R, he hardly made it at first to hell

Baal back in 2005).
He is a

Bone Spear necro, but using all but

Fire Golem summoning skills as 1 point wonders, killed Ubers several times thanks to Urdars, and is by far the most expensive of my chars with his perfect torch, perfect Anni, Enigma, 2/20 amulet... To notice that he plays max block Necro using Bonehsade +

Homunculus, not the more standard HotO + Spirit one.

Nysteria the Assassin, level 90, accompanied by Kyoko, Act 1

Cold Arrow "Manic Pixie Dreamgirl" merc.
My number 2 is versatile, she is usually a Trapsin with full

Natalya Set and Chaos

Claws to make her use

Whirlwind while Traps and

Shadow Master do some damage. But thanks to buddy Shadowheart, she also owns a pair of Mosaics so can go Disco ball (then she wears a Chains of Honor to deal with Resistances).

Nosferia the Amazon, level 89, accompanied by Scyld, Act 5

Frenzy Barb "full Sazabi" merc.
One of my funniest chars to play, she uses

Titan's Revenge on one slot, and Faith on the other, all the remainder being The Disciple set. She can

Strafe, she can use

Lightning Fury, and I am very fond of her.

Nadania the Sorceress, level 87, accompanied by Alhizeer, Act 2 Cure +

Prayer + Insight merc.
Lightning sorc, lightning fast, she is one of the two chars widely built thanks to Shadowheart's giveaways (the "Make your own build" one, though added some stuff over it), with her self-wield Infinity and frantic use of

Teleport/

Nova protected by her

Energy Shield. She is the only one in the list not caring about being 75 all res.

Tyseth the Paladin, level 86, accompanied by Leharas, Act 2 Might + Reaper's Toll merc.
FoH/Zealer, he is the other char that has been decked by Shadowheart, this time his "untangle my builds" giving (plus my additions).

Teleport, FoH,

Zeal, with Grief, Enigma and Phoenix, he is quick, efficient and can make quick work of all Bosses, including Ubers.

Eckmul the Druid, level 85, accompanied by Paige, Act 1

Cold Arrow Faith merc.
This one is a

Werebear

Fire Claws +

Maul druid, based on the guide done by DKBam on

Maul Werebears. He uses Reaper's Toll, Fortitude and Metamorphosis and hits single targets like a truck, and has a 1 point wonders zoo with him.

Noxymor the Barbarian, level 84, accompanied by Haphet, Act 3 Fire merc (had to test one ).
In terms of stylepoints, he is probably the winner, as the full Immortal King set is just super classy. And of course, he whirlwinds his big hammer... but he also has 20 points in Throw Mastery and sends ethereal axes and spears on enemies (

Lacerator and

Wraith Flight)

Gehemmiaow the Necromancer, level 83, accompanied by Neeraj, Act 2 Might + Insight merc.
Back in 2003 when I began Diablo 2, the craziest thing possible seemed to have a full Trang-Oul set and turn into a

Vampire. Here he is, and he is a summoner, using Leoric and/or Beast +

Poison Nova to deal damage himself. Of course, the only char I could double was my dear necro )
There are also 7 mules, 1 per class.

And now ? Well, Nicodemus is still far from 99, so may I keep playing him ? Possible. In any case, I'll stay around...

My first ever D2 character, way back in 2001 or so, was also a Bone necro and this brought me right back.

I had no idea how to play the game, so he had points in most skills and fought in the front lines with a

Crystal Sword (my uncle and I thought crystal swords were the coolest thing in the world). To boot, there was a bug that made the game freeze in the

Chaos Sanctuary (or when Gloams appeared) so for the longest time I couldn't even see what Diablo looked like. This didn't stop me from playing though; it just made Diablo an even more daunting boss as I wondered what it would be like to finally fight him.

Later on, I remade him as a much more focused character and once again now that I'm playing online.

Armageddon path to get all perfect overpowered runewords and items or at least triple digits of

Jah in just a few months.
Looking forward to read many of your posts ahead.

Nova Sorc with ES pratically being immortal, even against high poison damage or Blood Mana curse.

For the triple digit of

Jah that's still out of my range ! But the period when Annis were raining did help build my Wealth a lot, along with amethysts - still my most common sale

Love seeing the diversity of builds and interesting thematic choices. This is an awesome achievement Necrarch.

My first character way back on original release was a Necro. I found a "cool"

Axe in Act 2 to use and not knowing the game I pumped dex to be able to wield it and made a bastard build of a melee necro mixed with all the skills. I couldn't get past

Travincal. I switched to Sorc to restart and eventually finish the game, but came back to Necro. Summoner is still one of my favorite builds. I just like making an army of monsters to

Swarm the screen.

With D2R I'm doing a combination of remaking my favorite builds from LOD and also trying out some new or odd builds. I might even try a melee Necro again.

Id love to play some necromancer again. Just not a fan of how they turned the summons to wither away if they go too far from the player. Meaning if you have no

Teleport yet, you tend to re-summon summons or keep missing some constantly... The summon AI could use some work too. The one and only game where proper summon necro is possible but even this has its downsides. D4 necromancer was just... pathetic.

D4: minions got improved actually, I play a minions necromanceress there... though AI is still poor.

D2: in 95% of cases minions just TP back to you when too far, so except for

Iron Golem it's never an issue for me (so I only play clay!) as others have little value. With IG having Enigma is almost required to babysit it.

Congrats!! I actually base my assassin off of yours from a previous post. Chaos claw with nats set… only wish she didn’t look transparent.

Funny how knowledge transmits, it's the great Schnorki himself that suggested I add Chaos to my Nat set and put 20 points into

Shadow Master.
