Can be used to make Runewords:
While I got most of mine (well, must be 3 or 4 in total) in WSK ^^
Who said random ?
Who said random ?
Main: Necromancer / Second: Assassin / Third: Amazon / Check my stash, my crafts and my many cheap Annihilus
Got a perfect one in a chest in the Durance of Hate Level 3 next to the council lol.
My timezone is CET/UTC+1.
From market
As someone who doesn't farm specific area(s) but just walk thru game (unless I need a very specific item for some experiment or whatever) I can't remember if I ever founded a single rainbow facet solo (don't think so)...

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."
OP
Well, I did about 100 Trav run, not TZ, with 470MF and when I switch to Hork I'm at 670MF (does that extra 200MF count or is the MF is applied to body when you kill?) and nothing interesting except a blue jewel. There was a yellow one but it was crap. Maybe 12 uniques and 20 green but all bad. I think I found 6-7 times the green Bone Wand.
Yes. Your total MF (gear + charms + hork %) is what is used to calculate drops when Horking a corpse. The MF you had when you killed the corpse had no effect on your Hork %.Rhialto wrote: 3 months agoI switch to Hork I'm at 670MF (does that extra 200MF count or is the MF is applied to body when you kill?)
Fun Fact: A corpse killed during a TZ will still have the TZ bonus when Horking, even if the area is no longer TZ. The opposite is applicable too. If you kill a monster during non-TZ, it will not have the TZ bonus if you Hork it when the area is TZ. This really only comes into play when you're trying to finish that last run before the TZ rotates. Focus on killing all the monsters before TZ ends, but you don't need to rush to hork all the corpses. As long as they died while TZ is active you are good
I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys, Perfect Gems, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.
That's new for me
(I knew that you can't force every monster to spawn, by teleporting all over the map when TZ time is about to finish.... when you do that, just the monsters close to you when TZ time finishes stays with the TZ status - I think that "close" here is 2 area range
)

Those facets can drop anywhere on hell difficulty.
I found two with my Travi-Horker, and several in WSK or CS and other areas.
It's just like high runes. You are playing and all of a sudden - it drops.
Of course, having high magic find (300+) helps a lot. You don't need much more, because of diminishing returns.

Chaos Sanctuary and terrorized Andariel (and the best I've found so far was a -5/+3 cold)
Correct. Monsters will de-spawn if you move too far away (about 2 screen widths). This is applicable to the corpses too. If the corpse itself despawns, you can't bring it back by moving back to where it was. So use that wisely when teleporting to spawn/kill the last batch of monsters before the TZ rotates.fredkid wrote: 3 months agoThat's new for me

You can however set a TP next to the corpses you want to hork, and that will stop them from de-spawning. I've found this to be very useful with pretty much only Travincal. The council corpses are so awesome to hork that I'll swap to MAX MF or GG gear to hork them. Setting my to over their corpse pile allows me to calmly go back to town and swap gear without worrying their corpses will de-spawn.

That is very interesting, I noticed that when going back to town, some corpses were no more present on the floor and I didn't know a TP will keep the ones around to stay in place. Thanks.Knappogue wrote: 3 months agoYou can however set a TP next to the corpses you want to hork, and that will stop them from de-spawning.
I've played D2 since the very start. I have found a rare few high runes and seen several more drop that others picked up.FacelessVoid wrote: 3 months agoRainbow Facets are not THAT uncommon. They drop much more often than high runes.
Finding a good one is another story. 3/3 Poison comes to mind.
Most common place for me is Travincal. The Council does drop Facets every now and then.
I have never found or even seen a single facet drop.
Not once.
It might related to your mf and the place you run.FULCRUM75 wrote: 3 months agoI've played D2 since the very start. trav and Baal, it drop a lot of jewel, each jewel have chance to become facet.
I usually run Baal at 550+ mf, it drop considerable amount of facet.
Favor Perfect Amethyst over Perfect Skull...
These days, I don't need that much Perfect Skull, it is less encourage to pay in Perfect Skull but it will treat slightly better than Perfect Gems.

550+ mf is so overkill and completely not needed. If you can lose some of it to obtain survivability or dmg output, I would do that.leox wrote: 3 months agoIt might related to your mf and the place you run.FULCRUM75 wrote: 3 months agoI've played D2 since the very start. 300-350 is absolute tops to go for, even that is higher than needed.
My historically most common MF/XP area has been Diablo+CS.
Thousands of those runs total.
With D2Rs easier handling of characters letting me level better builds more easily, as well as much easier to get gear i needed by trade and freebies, in D2R i've now also done hundreds of Countess/ Andariel/ Arcane Sanctuary/ Travincal/CS/Diablo/Shenk/Eldritch/ Pindleskin/WSK/ Baal clears as a standard-ish run.
MF, depending on character is anywhere from 100% to 450%, but most commonly around 200-250.
OP
I'm close to 500 when I kill or 700 when I hork now after finding a few more 7MF charms and I'm not impressed by the drops so I think I'll do that, will look to improve my kill speed instead.Semirotta wrote: 3 months ago550+ mf is so overkill and completely not needed. It looks okay, I am almost similar to your result, 1 unique per run.

You can also use a TP among living TZ monster pack and come back later to kill them, they will stay TZ with a TP near them even after TZ ends, but the range of the TP is not very big compared to a players range.
I know I will repeat myself with what I am about to say. Yes I say it almost in every topic regarding "not finding anything".
Its all about clear speed and how often you can play best TZ96.
Someone says he played 100hrs and found one Ber, and others are playing 20hours and found way more.
Some characters are bad, some are good, some are even better and some are OP.
I have always played "good", few times even "slightly better" in terms of clear speed and I always struggle to find something. I played p1 mostly, few times with friend as p2-3. Not much luck.
This season I did Mosaic and my findings changed drastically, I played most of games as p8 TZ (ofc I wasnt fast enough to pick up everything) but even with few items which I was able to pick up, I still found a lot more than ever before.
During my rushing to lvl99. I did hosted 500-600games in last 3days and I joined those "I cs u mf" games lets say 150-200. So I did like 650-800games of TZ96 p8 in those 3days. If I was living my dreamy life I would be solo in TZ and I could have all loot from monsters I have killed (which was like 90+% of all monsters - it depends who joined my game, if some noobs running with ondals without doing any dmg it was almost 100%). I would have picked up items and runes worthy of like 15-20ber. In just those 650-800games.
But if you play with not so OP character, you wouldnt do 15 all tombs_runs in Tal Rasha TZ96 p8 per hour, but less. So it means I played Tal Rasha only twice in those 3days. But if u do lets say 5runs per TZ even at p8 and you would be able to play TZ twice for 3days. You would need 9days just to get same amount of kills from this awesome TZ.
And if u play at p1 (as said by Schnorki here: forums/once-and-for-all-ratio-of-drops- ... 79236.html) then you would need to kill twice as many monsters as in p8 so you would get same amount of drop items as p8 games.
So in same example - you play as p1 with Tal Rasha TZ, you would need 18-20days with 66% chance to be online during Tal Rasha TZ to find same amount of items I found in Tal Rasha during 3days (=2hrs of playing).
Assuming you will be at lvl94 to spawn TZ96. And if you play daily lets say 8pm-11pm chances of you playing TZ Tal Rasha are super low. And honestly I think you will find more items from 30hours TZ96 as p8 in Tal Rasha than from hundreds of hours playing solo any other TZ.
So when someone says he has 3,5k hours in game, it means nothing regarding drop (dont hate me for saying it). Because you could play as p1, doing non TZ CS, Baal runs, cows or whatever.
Rare drops depends on QUALITY of TZ, its lvl and how fast you can clear it.
If you wanna find rare items quickly you need to be able to play good TZ96 and your clear speed has to be super fast.
- If you kill fast but you aint online during best TZ, you wont find anything.
- If ur clear speed is slow, but you will play good TZ, you wont find much too.
With my current experiences from doing both at same time, I can say that when MrLlammaSC or other big streamers says that to find stuff which u trade for Enigma is 50hrs on average, I totally agree.
And if u find Jah, Ber, Zod, griffon or templars might or whatever - its just random, but you will find those super rare items, you just dont know which one - keep in mind some of those super rare items are just pure garbage.

My point is if I will play 1hr daily for a week and every hour will be TZ Tal Rasha at p8. I would find more GG items then you if u would play 7hrs per day random TZ in a week.
In terms of good items drops I would rate:
1st Tal Rasha
2nd Flayer
3rd CS
4th WSK (no baalruns, because thats just slow in terms of XP and also in terms of drop - because with Mosaic you can clear lvl2, 3 and throne faster than Baal waves spawns)
