Where do you all find your Rainbow Facet?

Fact is, since I play this game with an estimated 2000 hours or more, I never found one, neither a

Zod, neither a

Death's Web...

All I can tell is I don't do Cows all day long, neither Chaos at the speed of light, I know it would help statistically but I prefer to do various things than always doing the same run over and over.

Rainbow facets have qlvl 85 (see

Rainbow Facet: Cold Death for example).
So you need an L85+ area for any monster be able to drop (L82 only Uniques may drop and L83 Uniques and Champions may drop)

The Secret Cow Level has L81... cannot drop (unless terrorized...)

But in the end.... random is a bitch...

Rainbow Facets are not THAT uncommon. They drop much more often than high runes.

Finding a good one is another story. 3/3 Poison comes to mind.

Most common place for me is

Travincal. The Council does drop Facets every now and then.

Since I started to take notes I dropped 4522 set/uniques and only 13 (~0.29%) were Rainbow facets (and never dropped a poison one...)

I also take notes of all drops for my last character, a Barbarian.
I found 2410 items and 8 Facets, 0,33% rate of success (3 Cold LevelUp, 3 Fire LevelUp, 1 Light LevelUp and 1 Poson Death).

But I found all of them along the way. I found a total of 42 Rainbow Facets, 8 of them being perfect.

They drop all over the place but most of them I found when farming terrorized

Andariel. After completing the game I only farm on

Terror zones.

the real fact is that chances for facet drop are lower than chances for any rune council members can drop.
aka not true.

i had only 2 drops in this month and half and both were from council, but played runs the most.
according to some info, the highest chances for tz are from

Andariel and for regular levels is

Duriel.

They're as rare as any unique their level.

I started playing online about a year ago and have dropped a total of:

• 3 poison (2 level up, 1 Death)
• 1 fire (level up, yet to see a Death one, online or offline)
• 5 cold (3 Death, 2 level up)
• 4 lightning (3 Death, 1 level up)

it is not very hard to seen, I get 5 from

Baal this month. However, only 1 5/5.
Most facet is worthless, except light and some 5/x .

it will depends on the area you play, I have a very long time not out of a5.

My Memory is blur, cant sure about this but I feel like get 25 facet from a few month ago when I start use diabloio to trade. (3-4 month) and I also buy some . In peak time, I have a char full of facet. (40-60)

And I use some to play , some of experiment about impact of -9 resistance vs -13 resistance. Some equipment, there is difference -9 vs -15. or -9 vs -20. You can use facet to experiment. Sorc sometimes only need -9 res and +hp/resistance/mana/fhr jewel and doesnt need -20

Helm. I did experiment before I want to purchase something expensive to see if that thing can help.
My conclusion is use near peak fire/Ice mix equipment to build fire/Ice sorc to have max performance, not use pure thing w sunder+peak/near peak equipment.

I have found my rainbow facets ALWAYS either in

Baal run or

Travincal... Never elsewhere. My luck is weird.

I must admit, playing both online and offline char's....most of my facets drop from Trav runs....it just gets boring tho and I end up farming elsewhere

I get Facets all the time while playing TZs (mostly Andy, Mephi oder Diablo). This morning droped my first 5/5

My only facet found was a 3/3 poison in terrorized

TZ hell Andy has a crazy high chance of dropping facets. Offline if you farm her at decent magic find at like p5 or something, you get one roughly every hour.

Found almost all of my rainbow facets in the Chaos sanc on my smiter when I was leveling him as blessed hammers when the game came out. Only found 1-2 since.

Terror Zones are a good place to find them. I have found probably 20 in the last year or less, mostly in TZs. If I had to guess where I see them most, it's probably

Travincal when I hork.
