Quick update. I didn't have enough points into
Pierce
. Only had like 78%
Pierce
even with
Razortail
. After an adjustments, including an Enigma for better positioning, 100%
Pierce
and only hitting huge packs of cows, it's not even close.
Razortail
destroys
Thundergod's Vigor
for density clearing. Still love T-Gods, but it's got a different use on my pally now.
That's the thing. When running high density mobs such as Cows the mechanics strongly favor
Razortail
.
Pierce
works on physical attacks in a straight line so when you fire a
Javelin
into a mob with 100%
Pierce
it will hit and pass through everything along its path, and each strike will split into additional Lighting
Bolts
. The downside is that in runs where there are no lined up mobs to catch your javelins, which is a large chunk of the game, Thundergods works better. Before I added a Phoenix runeword shield T-Gods was a necessity when running some areas TZ WSK because of Black souls, now
Razortail
is all I need.
Sorry, I know it's been a while but can you explain to me (like I'm five) why a Phoenix shield changed anything? It doesn't look like it's got any synergies with lightning, both when you're dealing or resisting damage

You are right, there is no lightning sinergy.

Phoenix is a "quality of life" improvement.
Because of the
Redemption
aura you don't need to invest in mana/life regenaration sources. 😉

My
Lightning Fury
amazon has just 7 ll (
Titan's Revenge
) and 4 ml (ring) and with
Redemption
I generally need to use no potion during my farms 🤗

Before that, I used
Silkweave
, but it wasn't enough... And I needed to use
Mana Potion
and life potion /
Rejuvenation Potion
from time to time....

For a Javazon,
Razortail
is going to be better in 99% of situations you run into.

For
Lightning Strike
-Zon, go with Tgods.

A Phoenix shield's
Redemption
keeps both life and Mana balls filled and in most situations you rarely need to use a potion. So where you lose some in damage output you gain in being able to stand and hit longer and more often. I've run TZ Chaos and WSK for an entire hour without needing to use single potion.

On the other side, some mana leech with an ethereal
Titan's Revenge
may be enough so you can play without pheonix but Spirit.

Playing without Phoenix requiers you to correctly throw your jav so it will
Pierce
as many enemies as possible (so the mana leech is more effective).

It’s a more demanding way of playing but it will to more damage.

Tried and tested.

Rule of a thumb:
Thundergod's Vigor
= Ubers
Razortail
= anything else
just because Javazon is already way too OP as she is.

But you can use Tgods and be completely fine. You can literally use nothing (or like full mf gear) besides Titan's and be absolutely fine wrecking everything pretty much the same as fully equipped. I would personally only prioritize use of
Razortail
on builds that absolutely needs it like Demon Enchantress, Paladin Rangers, Throw Barb, Brand Necro or some other off-meta thing like those. Even with physical or dual element Bowazon it's not needed since
Pierce
is doing miracles by itself. :)

Edit: P.S. For mana 'problems' (you really don't have them), you can also use Act 2 Merc with Insight and completely negate that part of equation.

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."
