That works if you play the game a lot. I play week or two once or twice a year. Would never be able to grind gear to get torches etc. absolutely no thanks to offline for me.
I don't understand. You said you play a week or two per year BECAUSE things get yoinked out of your grasp. I suggested playing offline because things won't get grabbed, it'll be less frustrating, and that would make the game more fun so that you'd play more.
However, offline seems like the way to go for once or twice a year anyway. Because you know you won't be in the middle of server outage or game update. The game is there for you when you're ready, and you don't have to coordinate with a group, or wait for a trade. Hell, if you set your computer clock you can even make sure the right Terror zones hit.
Offline sure would be most likely wiser, but I just like the possibility of going into online with others. Especially as once I have somewhat good gear, all I do is rush people and help others. I dont play the game anymore really even now. Once I got Enigma couple of days ago, all ive done is help others. This is pretty much why I play, just want to be able to help others ik its stupid to play like this but thats fine.
Torch/Anni and helping others are the reasons for online play instead of offline. Just want to have the possibility to trade if need to.
Ber and Stone of jordan still elude me after almost 1k hours of d2r
