Can be used to make Runewords:

I made an Enigma in perf
Mage Plate
but of course it rolled 752 on defense - just my luck. xD
This is why I sold Griffons instead of identifying it.
I have the worst luck in games.
At least it doesn't affect the item's utility, just its market value. However, you're probably not going to sell an Enigma if it's your only one.

If it was a runeword with a variable-level aura, I'd be rerolling it until it's perfect.

Imo Java is very much amazing in terms of power. Your Java just isn’t where she should ideally be so maybe upgrade her of you like how she plays.

An Enigma is great and I think it should be the first thing one does with HRs: it unlocks a lot of other chars. My Java wears my one Enigma plate I did with my first HRs. I also think it‘s better than a merc-Infinity. Imo a Java needs a lot of mana to feel good. Without Insight you will drink tons of potions. So if you want to play with Infinity on the merc, also calculate with doing a Phoenix shield. I just did exactly that and personally I‘d not play thr Java plus Infinity merc without a way to manage mana well.

I‘d do it like this:
- build an Enigma mp for the java
- save up to make a Phoenix
Monarch

- build the Infinity
Mancatcher
once you have mana sorted
- try to het a griffons+light facet along the way because it just synergizes well with the Infinity merc
- build towards having tons of skills in the java tree. It makes
Lightning Fury
better. Meaning: 3/20 gloves are absolutely shop-able, I did just that. Also, skiller charms help a ton.

I was able to make Infinity in a
Eth
Mancatcher
just now(sadly 268% ED - of course...) ...and javazon now SLAPS even without sunder, but mana is a problem I try to use abilities conservatively...
I don't have a
Jah
rune and no idea when this will be possible... I swapped from Spirit shield to
Stormshield
, and she's waaaay more tankier.
Where do I need to try and shop for 3/20 gloves?

A cheap solution for the mana problem is
Silkweave
(I used it with my Javazon for a long time before swap Spirit Shield to Phoenix )

To shop 3/20ies you need to be patient. Lots of guides out there. I did it this way:

- Get a char to Level 75. Not over. Precisely 75. If you are over, you can still get them but chances are lower because it adds new possibilities of attributes to the mix. Go to Act5 Hell
Anya
with an opened Pindle portal. Open
Anya
's Trade window and look for dark looking gloves. Gloves with 20 IAS have this distinct dark colour. If she does not have them, go into the Pindle portal, return and she has refreshed her items. Rinse and repeat until you have your gloves. I got mine after about 6 hours. Yes it sounds really tedious and it is monotonous - so better listen to a podcast or so. Before I got my 3/20 Java, I got 2 pairs of 3/20 Martial Arts, one of them unfortunately in
Ogre Gauntlets
- the good pair went to a good friend. :)

- A maybe faster way would be to be exactly Level 68. Go to Hell Act 1 and refresh the map in new games until you have an exit between
Gheed
and
Charsi
. Alternatively open a cow level portal between them - I found the exit variant easier because loading times suck. Do the same as I described with
Anya
. Check
Charsi
, then
Gheed
, then exit town and return to
Charsi
.

Pro tip: equip all FRW you have on your char, also maybe a Harmony bow or so. Makes it a bit faster.

OP
Honestly I fell in love with
Stormshield
... It will be hard to change to Phoenix even if I will have
Jah
rune one day.
Boots
helped, but still sometimes when there are not many targets I struggle with mana.

Second though, I go through and back between Thundergod
Vigor
and
Razortail
and not sure which one to choose. Placebo TGOD feels better, especially since I use a lot of that stabby-stabby-
Chain Lightning
.

Most relevant things are already said. However, if you plan making a selfwielding Infinity for your Sorc I would recommend a non-
Eth
base. As long as you are not hitting something you are fine of course with an
Eth
base. But for "safety reasons" I would still be hesitant putting two
Ber
in an
Eth
base which can at least potentially "crack" 😉
I'm using
Eth
-bases exclusively and doing another roll everytime i got runes and
Eth
4 os
Scythe
:D . Weird enough, i usualy get the runes faster by trade/drop than the
Scythe
by drop only

Post ur offer before adding me. No PM. Only add me if u offer bin/lf. No reply after 3 days=offer rejected
No socketing service. If u get item otherwise, retract ur pending offer. Edit ur post or post "retracted" to do so.

A Spirit shield is the way to go most of the time if you aren't going to make Phoenix. Regardless, Spirit is your best offhand for
Teleport
and Call To Arms. The only time I use
Stormshield
is against
Uber Mephisto
when I essentially re-gear for
Jab
, because otherwise,
Stormshield
is a defensive shield that doesn't synergize well with an offensive character build.

I got to 99 on Spirit and didn't make Phoenix until I felt like messing around later. My mana problems were largely solved with Spirit,
Raven Frost
, ring #2 (either
The Stone of Jordan
or a rare FCR, dual leech, and big mana), and crafting this:

Stormshield
is amazing! But you should play the Javazon more offensively imo if you grow to like it :) - You have one of the biggest, if not the biggest damage dealer at your hands: deal the damage before anyone can realistically hit you. Thus, the damage prevention is a bit obsolete. Phoenix really does help you here because you will
Teleport
around, throw 1-2 spears into crowds and recharge your mana with it, rinse and repeat. If there are areas with less targets,
Charged Strike
is what you do and mana should not be an issue.

Razortail
and Thundergods is also something I switch around. My consensus so far is:
Razortail
deals more damage because it elevates your
Pierce
. I think I only put 1 or 2 hard points into the
Pierce
skill and
Razortail
does it all for me. Crowds just melt. Thundergod's is imo the "security" option if you are particularly concerned about lightning damages dealing enemies (Spirit in WSK e.g.). For myself I came to the conclusion that it's very much clear:
Razortail
deals more damage than Thundergod's, Highlord's does more damage than Cat's Eye; those are the two slots I changed up a lot myself.
