Evaluate my future smiter

Greetings!

I'm leveling a paladin as a hammerdin and in the future I will respec for a smiter. I made a draft in maxroll with the equipment I got. This is a semi-budget smiter. I would like opnions and suggestions. Thanks!

Hi.

I would say you could make some imprvements.

I would change the helmet. The resistances are nice, but I think a Ground helmet would be better due to the lightning absorb. Also, since you are using Rhyme shield, you already have Cannot be Frozen.
A good ligh and fire rolled

Rockstopper would also be cool.

Speaking of lightining, get some more ligh resist charms. As is, you have an uncapped resist of around 120%.

Mephisto aura will reduce that to almost nothing.

I would change

String of Ears for

Thundergod's Vigor, for

Mephisto, and verdungo's, for the others.

I would add a

Wand of

Life Tap on switch. Draculs work, but sometimes, they take a lot of time to proc.
If you are ok with the

Life Tap

Wand, you can even change dracul's for lay of hands, for faster attack speed and more damage do demons, or even crafted gloves, but draculs also work great. If you like them, go for it.

Check your breakpoints for

Smite, and if you are less than 15% to the next one, replace the life/res jewel on templars with a faster attack speed one, and make up for it with more charms. Fill the inventory with resist charms.

While not as important as lighning resist, do not neglect cold res.


For weapon, Black is great.

For rings and amulets, life and resist are good. Again, since you have Rhyme, ravens is not needed.

Goblin Toe is great.

And, of course,

Guardian Angel is always fantastic.

All in all, the build looks cool. But it really needs more lightning resist.

These are just sugestions, use what you like and works for you. What matters is that you are having fun playing.

I hadn't noticed the Treachery. That's great, it will reduce the amount of resistances needed.

About the

Wand of

Life Tap, you can buy it from normal

Ormus. It should not take more than 15 minutes, top.

Are you playing ladder or non-ladder? If non ladder, I can get you some gear to help out.

Guillaume's Face is BiS for a Smiter and is quite cheap. Can be picked up for a

Pul. If you're short on resistances you can always socket it with an

Um.

Heaven's Light is also a great budget smiter weapon. Cheap to buy. There are a couple for sale right now for 20 pgem.

Do you need a Annihilius? If so I have a mid-roll you can have for free, will help with res.

Ditto on the Guillaume's. If you want to save on an

Um you can also socket it with a 15 resist jewel (edit) and if you happen to have one with 15 All Resist and 15 IAS (scintillating jewel of fervor) all the better if you're base weapon speed is less than -10.

Guillaume's Face is a great ideia. I completely forgot about it.

About the jewel,

Smite does not use attack rating, so maybe attack speed and all resists. Unless you would like to use

Zeal ou

Sacrifice to clear trash, than is also a great option (I use

Zeal for trash on mine)

I already have Gface, but kira's gave tons of all res. This moment I have a decent chance of crushing blow from Black +

Goblin Toe. Anni I have too.

Heaven's Light don't have yet. Maybe if I afford res in other places I can change kira's to GFace, I have to do all the Hell mode yet. So until I respec to

Smite many things can chance.
