Dual socket rare head gear?

Hi,

As I understand it,

Larzuk/cube recipe can only add 1 socket to rare headgear.
Why are there rare head gear with 2 sockets?

Any idea? I’ve seen on YouTube some crazy good

a rare can spawn with the "mechanics" prefix, which gives 1 or 2 sockets

It must be real good luck of the draw that a good rare head gear comes with 2 open sockets!

20% cast
7% mana leech
20 str
1x all res
2 sockets

was offered 40

Ber for it a year ago.

I know there are so many items in the game with incredibly low probability to drop but I swear, rares with two sockets is just so seldom found. I am especially amazed when people post screenshots rares (circlets/weapons) with amazing stats and two sockets. My Dream.

I have a 3 jav skill -55elr Infinity only thing is my ed is about 280

but i was given the godly roll of -55elr

Any meaningful use case for this head gear?
