When making a build using Windforce, look for items that can help you reach the Increased Attack Speed breakpoint you need. Items such as Laying of Hands and Andariel's Visage are commonly paired with Windforce.

Prior to patch 1.09, Windforce had +35 to Dexterity, fixed 8% Mana Stolen and no strength bonus.

It should be noted, the Windforce is considered endgame when paired with the Fortitude armor, and is almost as good as a Faith bow. Compared to the exorbitant cost of needing a Jah and Ohm runes for Faith, a WF can be had for lower tier high runes (price varies), making it extremely price efficient compared to it's runeword rival. One tactic for using this weapon is to equip it to the player character, and then hiring a Rogue mercenary and equipping her with a Faith bow, that way both she and the player character benefit from the Fanaticism aura. The Windforce is also a solid candidate to equip the Rogue mercenary, as the max damage scales per level.

Fortunately, there is very little variation amongst copies of Windforce - the only variable found on the weapon is the 6-8% Mana Stolen per Hit. Because Windforce's physical damage is so high, there tends to be only a very modest difference in effectiveness between the worst and best possible rolls.

Prior to LoD runewords, WF was considered the most valuable unique item before Arkaine's Valor.
