Hello!
I'm building a Strafezon and I am a little bit confused about the IAS breakpoints. I know there are several topics on this and also various IAS calculators, but here is my question:
In summary, I am using Strafe + Faith GMB lvl 15 Fanaticism.
I am not sure if i need 18 or 50 IAS from items, to get to the highest IAS breakpoint.
Warren IAS calculator says i need 50 ias from items - https://warren1001.github.io/IAS_Calcul ... -0-0-0-0-0
Those would be Loh 20, Amu 20, Helm Jewel 15. I am worried however that the calc says Last updated for: D2R v2.6 PTR
d2.lc ias calculator however states I need 18 ias for max breakpoint. This is much more easy, mainly because I can spare the 15 jewel and switch to amu or gloves without ias.
Which one is correct? 18 or 50?
Thank you very much!

Warren's IAS calculator is correct.herrbo wrote: 9 months agod2.lc ias calculator however states I need 18 ias for max breakpoint. This is much more easy, mainly because I can spare the 15 jewel and switch to amu or gloves without ias.
(there's an IAS calculator on this site too - it's a fork of Warren's, so works the same, just diablo2.io-ified: Tools > Attack Speed)
Before D2R, Strafe was capped at 3 fpa on the server-side (client-side would still 'believe' it was attacking at 2 fpa resulting in weird desync issues). Any IAS beyond the 3 fpa breakpoint was (almost) useless.
In D2R, this was fixed so the cap is actually 2 fpa on both server-side and client-side. The extra IAS is thus useful to hit those higher breakpoints. Whether you want to make some sacrifices to reach those - well, that's up to you. It's not like 3 fpa vs 2 fpa will make or break the build, but obviously 2 fpa is better
I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.
My profile says Softcore, but I play both Softcore and Hardcore.
My Holy Grail Tracker is for Offline Hardcore.

OP
It all makes sense now. Thank you for swift response!
fyi the very last breakpoint gives very little ( 4-2-7 vs 4-2-6)
the big change is getting to the 2 frame ... ie 35 ias
the big change is getting to the 2 frame ... ie 35 ias
both calculators say diff stuff. from what i know, Faith gmb lvl 15 fana should need 50 ias total for max Strafe speed. safe to follow warren’s calc since it's more detailed, even if it's for 2.6 ptr. d2.lc is a bit off sometimes, especially with new patches. if u wanna play it safe, stick with 50 ias setup.
Game over man! Game over! tag game

Actually what does all that numbers mean? 4-2-6 / 4-2-7?krathkor wrote: 9 months agofyi the very last breakpoint gives very little ( 4-2-7 vs 4-2-6)

Errata: see post3883056.html#p3883056
----
My guess is that it means:
<first attack frames> - <intermediate attacks frames> - <last attack frames>

so, your full attack (considering 10 hits) would be (in frames)
"first number" + 8 * "second number" + "last number"

If I'm right... the last breakpoint will change your full attack from
27 frames = 4 + (2 * 8) + 7
to
26 frames = 4 + (2 * 8) + 7
which is equivalent to ~+3.8% overall damage

1st # - frames to start strafing
2nd #-frames between each arrow (up to 10 Arrows)
3rd#-frames to recover, eg before you can move
2nd #-frames between each arrow (up to 10 Arrows)
3rd#-frames to recover, eg before you can move
I was almost right...
so the last breakpoint changes
31 frames = 4 + (2 * 10) + 7
to
30 frames = 4 + (2 * 10) + 6
~+3.3% overall damage
so the last breakpoint changes
31 frames = 4 + (2 * 10) + 7

30 frames = 4 + (2 * 10) + 6
~+3.3% overall damage

Not 100% related to the IAS topic, but how much FHR do you stack on a Strafezon?
ranged attackers don't need much, esp. with merc and valk. im at 20

Reason: I shoot first.
That's my Javazon's motto

(0% fhr)
(0% fhr)
I'm at 24fhr for 8 frames (20fhr bp). That 24% comes from 2x skillers with 12% fhr each. I wouldn't have purchased those though. I just found them over time.herrbo wrote: 9 months agoNot 100% related to the IAS topic, but how much FHR do you stack on a Strafezon?
I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys, Perfect Gems, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.
