Oblivion Knights have a ranged elemental attack which can be blocked with a shield.
Oblivion Knights are known to be one of the most dangerous enemies in the game for melee characters. Oblivion Knights use the following Skills: Bestow (heals others), Bone Armor, Bone Spirit, Decrepify, Lower Resist, Weaken, Life Tap, Amplify Damage (wow!).
There are two variations of Doom Knights: the first spawns in the Infernal Pit and the second spawns in the Throne of Destruction and Worldstone Keep Level 3.

Simply to correct, since patch 1.13, Oblivion Knights can no longer cast the Iron Maiden curse.
