Hello everyone
I would have liked to ask for a little help with my Paladin Hammerdin.
He is level 86, I finished the hell level but I am stagnating with the objects and despite the daily farming I have the impression of not moving forward
Would you be kind enough to see my items and advise me on things to farm or do as a priority?

Resists: 75 cold and poison / 47 Lightning / 8 fire ( Hell)
MF: 21% ( hell)
In NM I can reach 75 resist + 108% MF
Is better to farm NM / player 8 or Hell /player1?

In my opinion, you are in early farming stage. NM would be much better choice imo.
Make sure you spirits + Stealth reach 86% FCR breakpoints.
If willing to suffer FCR lost, I would recommand to get a four-socket armor and put 4 Perfect Topaz in it, then replace Stealth. Early game MF is too important imo.
I think Stealth would be the first thing I want to get rid of. But make sure FCR is in the comfortable zone. Then I would start to think about replace Lore.
Also since this paladin is not good at mobility in this stage, I would go for NM Players8 Act 5 Nihlathak's Temple or Frigid Highlands and such.

I run a hardcore cookie-cutter 125% FCR hybrid Hammerdin / Smiter as my main, and am a big fan of 125% FCR over 75%, since it synergizes so well with Enigma (teleporting).
My advice would be to work towards that ( Shako, HOTO, Enigma, Arach etc.), but you need to find items of some value to trade with, which is easier in the later acts in Hell.
Procing Fade from a Treachery armor should get you through the bottlenecks in Hell diff even without changing your current setup (proc the spell, and switch armor back, if you like). Treachery isn't very expensive.
As krathkor mentioned, Skin of the Vipermagi is an excellent, inexpensive caster armor.
You could more than double your MF % with a low-roll Gheed's Fortune, which is also cheap. War Traveler would also raise your MF % significantly.

Hell cows on /p1 or /p3 would be my suggestion. I don't recommend /p2 because it doesn't increase droprate afaik. Even with starter gear farming hellcows is possible and dropping good runes and bases is only a question of time. Until 90/91 the exp you get there is OK. The problem with farming NM at 86 is, that most monsters there only give you 5% xp. Even with /p8, most /p1 hell monsters should be superior in terms of xp

Are you using the correct skills with all the right synergies maxed?

Vigor and Blessed Aim maxed? (Synergies for Hammers)
Concentration maxed and assigned as your primary aura?
Holy Shield as high level as possible?
I'm only asking because I've run into a few instances where players thought it was their equipment load out which was the issue (which I agree you do need to work on upgrading), when it was actually their skill point allocation that was crippling them. Either points spread out everywhere or Conviction as their primary aura instead of Concentration.
Hdins benefit from anything with plus to skills and a higher cast rate. So work on finding and equipping anything that gives plus to all or paladin skills.
Peasant Crown gives plus to skills and faster Run/Walk. Skullder's Ire and Tarnhelm have plus to skills and that MF you do need. Aldur's set Boots have a good bonus to life and a nice fire resist bump that you are lacking from Spirit.
Try to make an Insight for you merc if you don't already. Don't worry about an Eth elite base. If you don't have one for him, make one ASAP.

leave Nightmare for Hell as fast as you can
even farm some Act 1 areas in Hell will give you more (especially XP) than farm Nightmare. And, as a Hammerdin you don't have problem with immunes
If you can't finish hell yet (for TZ and Cows) try some of the L85 areas (The Pit in Act 1 for example) or Bosses run (and The Countess for low/mid runes)

As offline, you can try Meph in p3,5,7 Nm or p1,3 hell. You can reset the map till the entrance to lvl3 is next to wp.
Dual Spirit and fcr ring should be enough to reach 75fcr. You should able to use Ptopaz amor and Helm for more MF while still have good damage for NM.
