Help Socketing eth Heaven's Light

Hey guys, I just got a very nice ethereal

Heaven's Light with 300ed and 2os (yes, I'm psyched) for my

Frenzy Barb with

Eth

Stormlash in other hand (I know Grief is better than everything else, but I play with

Mace Mastery).
My question is, other than the obvious

Zod rune, what would you recommend as the second socket? For the sake of simplicity, let's assume all ias breakpoints are met. What would be best?

Ohm?

Lo?

Ber?

well i would use Grief.. but if it have to be this and runes is abundance i would go for 20% more Crushing blow.

What do you use your

Frenzy barb for? PvP/pvm? Specific farming or just fun smashy-smashy?

Heya, I do strictly PvM, almost never ubers and mostly focus on TZ, Chaos and Cows. I like to play different builds to keep the game "fresh", so I don't mind if they're not as good as Grief, as long as they work and are fun.

I always wanted to play with

Mace-mastery types on D2R, since they're my favorite in any game that utilizes medieval weapons. So far I absolutely recognize that they're a lower tier than the aforementioned power-house that's dual Grief pbs, but it's just so fun to just reject the meta and explore alternatives.

Right now I'm inclined to go for

Zod+

Ohm on the

Eth

Heaven's Light and pair it with

Eth

Stormlash on the off-hand, but I'm flexible and open to suggestions!

How about IAS jewel if it helps you reach the next breakpoint?

That's a good point, I forgot to mention the ias is taken care of due to act 1 rogue scout with Faith.

I'm not sure how to compare the dps I'd get from an

Ohm in it versus a

Lo, for example. Does the

Lo double the tooltip damage when DS triggers or is the calculation different?

What’s all your other critical/deadly strike odds?

An extra 20% might not even add any value

If you’ve already got a good chunk from weapons mastery (probably 30%), then more from things like high lords and gore riders the extra 20% might only really increase your odds of doing double damage by like 12%… in which case increasing your base damage would actually increase your dps more significantly.

And if your not going up against bosses or high player counter elites very often the crushing blow wont help as much compared to pure ed

If you could wrangle your hands on a +30%ed, +9 strength, +9 Dex and any other mods rare jewel, it would be even better than an

15ias/40dmg jew

with 2/20/10 craft gloves (7-10), g-face (35) and gore (15)

Heaven's Light (33) you take 90% crush and blow
deadly strike on Highlord and mastery enough

To my opinion better option is 15/40 jew and

Ber and

Lo are better included in the purchase price

if no need IAS how you say I forgot to mention the ias is taken care of due to act 1 rogue scout with Faith - better option Upped DMG -

Heya, my crit strike from mastery is 31% and I only have 15% DS at the moment. This is what I'm running, although I'm very flexible with gear:

CoA

Ber+

Cham

Metalgrid
Fortitude

Eth HLight

Eth

Stormlash
Rare rings with dual leech, attack rating, resists, etc.
Gores
10 cb 20 ias

Blood Gloves with resists, ll, life, etc.

String of Ears
Life/max/ar grand and small charms
Anni, torch, the works.

And an Act 1 Merc with Faith that solves a lot of ias issues. I had to put Hustle armor on her so she can catch up without

Teleport, haha.

Ohm right now. Will probably be socketing it today, so I'll let you guys know the verdict.

If your rocking

Metalgrid you could try running a Hustle

Iron Golem to get fanatism, then switch your merc to act 2 might, not as strong as Faith for ias, but if your frenzied it’ll probably still be close to if not at the same breakpoint, as long as you keep

Battle Orders up your

Iron Golem should be ok (but i’s not that expensive if it dies).

Ohm still is probably best in that case but a 40/15 would be a consideration as well

I think

Iron Golem without Summon Mastery won't last much, but you have a good point. If I'm wearing the amulet anyway and the RW (Hustle) is cheap, why not try it anyway? Only problem is I play NL and Hustle weapons aren't exactly abundant. I'll make an attempt with a random weapon at first, just to see the survivability of the golem.

haha, that the reason why I love

Cryptic Sword. when I have

Eth based Oath on hand, with my 500+ max demage, I can see the fears from these monsters miles away.
