I thought I would begin to share this -guide if you can even call it one. One of my go-to ladder builds were the non-s tier ones.

When everyone would be making the sork or Mosin i'll probably be one playing a Zon first.

The access - Easy! Right by the Flayer WP. So..Why do i say this now?

First, most would say it is suicide. HC players shall avoid like the Plague. The
Swampy Pit Level 1
are a side optional that was recently elevated to TC85 (part of the motivation) because it was suicide to begin with and not worth it.

Filled with the nastiest , most hated mobs if not the top 2:

Gloams & Undead Stygian Dolls / Soul Killers. Basically it's a version of Flayer Dungeon but on multiple levels of crack...compacted within 3 levels.

Then you have fiends , flayer and their flayer shamies blowing fire to make things spicier. Essentially both them & the stygian dolls launched at you out of nowhere like modern day mini nukes, coming at you with their cute chopper knives.

Should you be in melee range i wish good luck to you. And if you get amplified with a curse - best write your Wills in advance.

And to add injury to insult, gloam packs zap at you from 1.5 screens away. Pray none of them have
Conviction
,yes?

But some classes excel at countering them. The Foh'er (for bonus damage against undead & auto-aiming of Holy
Bolts
at tight packs) & the FA zon (cold Death from nowhere freezes mobs in tight corridors - and there are many.)

Their maps are small, but made up of tight narrow corridors, flanked by water ways. In fact much smaller than even any level from the Tower in Act1, However the density is not, as one would find 3-4 unique / champion packs in 1 level.

The 3rd level is the easiest, consisting only of flayer and their shaman pals with one hidden (unmarked) golden chest.

Do so often enough and one can start to predict the map lay outs (1 of 2 possible for each level)

However as someone who MF in the hopes of Runes / Gems / Jewels & Charms..it's the best so far. I find more of these in 20 runs of swampy pits vs 20 CS runs.

Would you dare?

If I ever start a new ladder with a pally… I’ll be doing this lol.

also bowazon w. a valk !

and that CB.....

@Skaijuice This is my go-to farming zone for my WW barbarian. If you can take the punishing hits from the aforementioned monsters it's a fabulous farming area. I like the predictable tilesets too!

bowazons are expensive af lol

I shall try this out with my bowas, both mf and dmg

I am available for trading every other week, limited trading on my off week.
Thanks for understanding.

There is one minor draw back being Fiends will be immune to HB.

However...you can use secondaries like
Smite
to bring them down as a Hybrid FOH'er.

'Best' is a bit subjective, but there's mostly undead/demons in there, so FoH works well. The non-undead/demon enemies are the bat enemies (Fiend) and the static tentacle beasts that pop their heads out of the water.

I'm in CET (Central European Time), so that's UTC+1 normally and UTC+2 during DST.
My profile says Ladder, but I play both Ladder and Non-Ladder.

For my case - yes. Bind hotkey to FOH and as your merc rushes out to meet Death, point in the direction he is go to and ultra light beam shall shoot forth from the heavens like an aimbot :P

there are times where dolls, souls bunch together and they all break up in one satisfying Plop!

I assume you use
Strafe
. Careful tho none are in splash radius (the dolls) as once you go into
Strafe
lock you might not be able to
Dodge
.

Slow Missiles
works well with souls and those pea-shooters.

Just be wary of those critters. They are so small it's easy to miss them out.

I usually Lit them up with
Slow Missiles
or
Inner Sight

Lol, I've had absolutely zero luck in that dungeon. But heck, I guess I'll add it to the playlist on shuffle.

It's magic.

Lmao, honestly. It's the gloams that get me. I just watch my merc kill the fetishes for the most part (unless I am using zon or sorc).

I hate gloams so much, half of my hc characters die trying to cross the
Plains of Despair
/
Great Marsh
/
Frozen River
/
Drifter Cavern
.

Nothing like being off-screened by 10 gloams to put me in a good mood.

On a brighter note, at least there are walls in the swampy pit.

Same magic that makes humanoid Skeletons pop out of swarms/beetles/vultures I assume.
