Description

Dream is an expensive runeword, but also a very strong and popular one, and is used for the 'Auradin' builds.

Auradins are expensive to build because of the runes used in this runeword coupled with the fact that they use two of these on their character, as it can be made in both Helms and Shields.

When equipped with two Dream runewords, you get the combined effect of the
Holy Shock
aura on equip; thus, the result is a level 30
Holy Shock
aura. Despite the high level, unsynergized aura is weak; that's why it'd used mostly by paladins with maxed synergies (
Resist Lightning
,
Salvation
). Alternatively, a sorceress build can boost it with
Lightning Mastery
.

The same combination that allows building an Auradin is the basis for building a famous melee sorc wielding Passion in a
Phase Blade
that actually is able to solo Ubers. Optionally you can build a bear sorc using Beast

A slvl 15
Holy Shock
aura has the following properties:
Lightning Damage to your attack: 1-648
Lightning Damage Pulse: 1-108
Pulse Radius (yards): 13.3

A slvl 30
Holy Shock
aura has the following properties:
Lightning Damage to your attack: 1-1668
Lightning Damage Pulse: 1-278
Pulse Radius (yards): 23.3

It should be noted that the melee damage component of the
Holy Shock
aura provided by Dream will be affected by
Lightning Mastery
twice. First, the aura itself will have its damage augmented by the listed percentage. This means the aura's pulse will deal around 1-1k lightning damage twice (one for each Dream) per pulse. Then, the damage the aura adds to the Sorceress's attacks will be increased by the listed percentage again when she Attacks. This is how dual-Dream Sorceresses manage to deal 1-30k+ lightning damage with each swing.

From The Amazon Basin:
  • Aura When Equipped items allow player or mercenary equipping them (or an
    Iron Golem
made from them) to supply auras.
  • Aura level cannot be increased by any form of skill bonus, neither individual nor skilltab, class skills, Fire Skills, or even All Skills.
  • Equipping more than one item supplying the same aura will supply that aura at a level which is the sum of their levels, regardless of the items used: a Barbarian equipping two Lawbringer swords (Level (16-18)
    Sanctuary Aura
When Equipped each) supplies level (32-36) Sanctuary.
  • Auras granted by items equipped receive passive bonuses including synergy bonuses, but they do not apply bonuses to other skills.
  • Players and mercenaries can supply as many different auras from items as they are able to equip. However, items count as a separate source and will not enhance the same aura supplied by a Paladin or Desert Mercenary: only the higher level aura will normally be supplied.
  • Passive
    Prayer
    healing bonus from all
    Meditation
auras of equal level is applied to all allies within radius; otherwise, only healing from the highest level is applied.
  • Radial damage of
    Holy Fire
    ,
    Holy Freeze
    ,
    Holy Shock
and Sanctuary from both the Paladin or Desert Mercenary and the items equipped will be applied. Furthermore, when multiple items supplying the same aura are equipped, not only is that aura supplied at their combined level, but radial damage for an aura of that combined level is applied once for each supplying item.
