This might be the best weapon in the game for a Mauler to zoom through Nightmare difficulty. You can up it to a
Martel de Fer at lvl 34, and it will obliterate everything in 1 hit except for elites who sometimes take 2 hits.

One way to profit from the monstrous damage output of this thing is to stack Life Steal.
Skin of the Flayed One (or
Boneflesh, in a pinch),
Venom Grip and
String of Ears are also all equippable at roundabout level 30 and turn your Barbarian into a veritable
Vampire. No endgame dress, of course, but great fun.
