Description

Rixot's Keen is a useful early game item that falls off quickly. Due to the rarity of unique and champion monsters in Normal, the item is normally found too late to be of much use. Despite this, its Crushing Blow and reasonable damage can make it an option for helping take down particularly tough bosses in Normal.

It can be a good idea to upgrade
Rixot's Keen to a
Gladius to increase its validity into the later game, but its level requirement will increase to 30.

Very useful for melee builds in normal difficulty for taking down act bosses & super uniques, especially given the nonexistent level requirement vs
Goblin Toe or Strength runeword. Strength runeword made in a
Scimitar for Barb or paladin will have an advantage in attack speed but much higher level requirement and the need for an
Amn rune, which is hard to drop in Normal difficulty.

Dropped this off of
Rakanishu in normal difficulty in HCL a little while back, helped my paladin and barb tremendously.
